@@jacobsmith5637 I followed this drama with waaay more interest than I should. No one knows for sure why he got banned, but if I have to bet I'd say it's because he accused the tournament organisers of bending the rules in favor of LG. During the qualifiers they disqualified LG's opponents for using a sub but in the SAME tourney, another team was allowed to use a sub in between sets. The context is that he previously called out LG and Slashcan on stream for 1.cheating by account sharing last year & 2.not reimbursing 4-5K to an LG fan, and treating him so badly he talked about off-ing himself. The tourney has rules that explicitly say a competitor should never question the integrity of another competitor or the moderators publicly. He did both. Since Slash/LG had a motive against Phil, I mean he damaged their reputation.., I would not be surprised that they were the ones who filled a complain (this is ONLY a hypothesis). Another hypothesis is that he got banned from using the N-word but if that's the reason they would have banned him much earlier than that, not like that right between quals and finals. Though using the N-word is reaaally bad I personally don't think it's fair to permaban him for this since he obviously used it as a synonym of "dude/bro" in private discord years ago and without referring to any racial meaning :/
Phil getting banned from competition makes this match feel a little bittersweet, at least for the time being
Why did he get banned ?

Hasn't he said the N word before as well?
@@hoodie8106 no clue. If so, that's pretty cringe to say the least
