As a person who owns four Rockies, they are amazing horses! However, they are not really eventing horses because they're gaited. I jump two of them, but it isn't really how He designed them. We actually have a palomino (not chocolate) for sale who does low-level jumping right now, though! She's 15hh and 12 years old.
Well, I guess that’s why it’s a dream horse! 😂 The pony I used to ride is a chocolate palomino (she’s in my profile pic) and I fell in love with the color. I did some research and found that the color was a trademark of Rockies, then that they were known to jump pretty well. I have only jumped 2.5 feet and have never done cross country, but believe me it’s me biggest dream. But I’m only 13, so I guess I have time.
@@kaelynmcloughlin5673 Rockies have really never been known for their jumping since it is very unnatural, but some of them are pretty good at low level jumping. Other than the eventing point, the rest of your dream horse is quite achievable (and low level eventing IS possible on a Rocky, but they are not naturally good at it and you have to find a judge who is gaited-horse-friendly. Otherwise, they'll dock you for not trotting). Rockies are great at a number of other sports, however: I play Mounted Games on my bay mare (in my profile pic), she jumps three feet (rarely, since it causes stress on her legs), we've done competitive trail competitions, and I have friends who have done everything from trick riding to polo to gaited dressage on them. They're also incredible trail horses and the sweetest, kindest breed of horse I've ever met.

I'm not planning on jumping him for a few years yet. I want to be sure his body has fully developed before that, it drives me mental when I see youngsters being jumped.. There was an absolutely stunning gypsy cob palomino gelding (which is what I was looking for) but hewas only 3 and had already done cross country jumps.. Cracking up at the "annoyed, yet professional" mood of your replies. 😂
Yeah Charity Barnes is kind of a booger but I get it 😂
I think the horse I have now is my dream horse❤️. I love her to death, she’s a paint crossed with draft, and her one eye is half blue half brown, the blue part is a crescent shape like the moon and her name is Luna. (She’s my profile pic)
So cute and unique! But that’s coming from the girl with a sorrel quarter horse 😆
@@c..si.mo.ne.ll.i that’s okay, I used to have a sorrel, I love sorrel colored horses. My old horse was actually sorrel with a blonde mane and tail!
I really like your hair like that!

Also I know it’s kinda tacky to reply to my own comment, but I just wanna say that it would mean so much to me if you made a video about what all your pets would be like if they were people. :) plz consider this- it would mean so much. LOVE YOUR VIDS!!!!! UR THE BEST!!!!!

I have two horses. They both were absolutely not what I was looking for but both are my dream horses. One is a small Arab (I was looking for an OTTB) the other is a mustang yearling filly I impulsively bid on in March online auction because her picture looked so sad. No one else bid. She is a beauty now
Aww alot of those photos are soooooooo sad! did you get her already!?!
@@GypsyEquestrian I picked her up at the Ewing holding in Illinois on July 3rd. She has been home in Pennsylvania since July 4th. I named her Dreamer. She’s a bay from Triple B HMA
@@blackhorsefarm5906 that's where Zurreal is from! Wow you got her fast!
@@GypsyEquestrian It took four months. The auction ended March 9, 2021. That is cool that Dreamer and Zurreal are from the same HMA. Dreamer was captured August 8, 2020. She was just a couple of months old
You are my favorite UA-camr! Your vids make me laugh sooooooo hard!😂❤️
I love that response. I spend my time working and riding my many horses. I don't have time for cartoons.
For a fun time, when you go somewhere and ride a horse that isn't yours. Majorly downplay your skills. "Give me your easiest horse. Pretend I know nothing and treat me like a beginner." Proceed to blow away everyone with your sterling equitation skills. It's like slapping everyone in face with all your gold 🏅 s and trophies at once in the best possible way. Feel free to add the cherry on top with "you chose the perfect sweethearted 🐎 for my first ride.( say this as humbly as possible). Everyone will want to be your friend.
Give that girl a stick horse! 😂😂😂😂
This was so funny!!!😂 You should do a part 2!!

this video got me searching at 12:15 "what breed is chica linda from spirit?" and apparently she is a kiger mustang
I'm laughing out loud over this!
Omg plz plz plz do more of these!!!!
My Arabian is a rescue. I paid a $500 adoption fee and they would have lowered it if I couldn't afford it.
That was also in 2006, so I don't know what kind of fee they'd ask for now.
But, she also wasn't trained and they had several to find homes for.
My dream horse is the one who picks me. Does matter what breed or color or gender. It’s the one that we can have an amazing bond.
