Built by the hearts & hands of our community, JoeAnna’s house offers affordable, on-site accommodations for out-of-town families with loved ones receiving care at KGH.
Featuring 20 family rooms, a contemporary communal cooking space, cozy common areas and other home-like amenities including laundry facilities and a kids’ play area, no detail has been spared in the design and construction.
Research shows patients heal faster and more effectively when surrounded by their loved ones. And family members bond with others through a shared experience. That’s why JoeAnna’s House is so important. It is a home-away-from-home that keeps families together when they need to be together most.
JoeAnna’s House is owned & operated by the KGH Foundation and is entirely supported by your donations.
Just $68 is all it takes to provide a night of peace and a warm place of refuge for a family in need whenever unexpected medical crises arise.
As the region grows and KGH continues to expand its capacity to offer advanced and specialized medical treatment, the need for JoeAnna’s House has never been greater.
Even during the pandemic - families must still travel to Kelowna to support their loved ones, now under more strain than ever.
