This is exactly what is called hunting and it brings back a lot of memories for this viewer who has been hunting for 64 years.

I migrated from Maryland to Georgia 10 years ago. I love the videos and this style hunting- I’ve never tried it. Good luck and keep the videos coming.

Thanks Rick! I just got into tracking a few years ago, so I’ve still got lots to learn, but it’s probably my favorite way to hunt deer.

I can still remember 35ish years ago realizing the shot I made on a big one wasn’t going to bring him home. Time kind of dulls the pain but I remember the moment like it was yesterday.

Thanks, appreciate it! I’ve hunted long enough to know there are so many variables that can swing the odds in the deers favor. It’s what keeps me going out year after year. Cheers!

It was about 4 miles as the crow flies, but I had to go around the mountain. Thankfully I got picked up about halfway through the trek out.

Don't feel bad more often then not you will NOT catch the deer your tracking. If it was that easy everyone would do it and we wouldn't have bucks in ME. There is a knack to tracking that really can't be learned until you do it over years and years!!!! Keep up the effort and the determination and you'll connect.

@@treestandmanoutdoors Same for me the last week of bow! Kick myself in the butt! 20 yards and all I heard was a bunch of ticks as the arrow went through the bruch! I was just getting up to move and here he comes! Dam!! Total miss! Not even a hair!

Definitely not a big deer but always fun regardless.

That deer had a solid rack for our part of the country! Why discourage the guy with the negativity?
