I also love bednar but if they come out and play like they did in games 3 and 4 again, something major has to change. Its a lot easier to replace a coaching staff than a roster and thrre is an argument to be made that it appears the messaging has gone flat. Changing the beloved coach would send a clear message that this performance is unacceptable

Problem is that we only show 1 top scoring line now since Val is gone. We need 1-2 punch .. would like to see Midelstead have an impact tonight and Lucky... he has been a ghost this series

As a Stars fan I can say with certainty that the majority of fans expected a barn burner of a series and it to go the distance. I truly feel for Val and his family and pray he gets the help he needs to get his life back on track. It no doubt affected your team and losing JT only added injury to insult. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want Dallas to close it out tonight but I also respect the Avs and expect them to come out flying and this should be a great game. The toughest game to win is always the elimination game and the fact the Stars haven't won 4 straight in a post season that I can remember and never against the Avs. Good luck 🍻

Same. Expected it to go the distance but the Avs have not kept up their end of the deal... they still might though.

I did not expect a 6 or 7 game series. Vegas was huge for not only getting over the team that's beat us but to get us in a conference final type mentality and readiness
I though it was dallas in 5 or swept. The Avs are the Stars last year, they have one line and that is what they need to win otherwise it's what you saw in game 4, same thing that happened with Vegas last year with the Stars, depth wins.
On Val I don't feel for him but I feel for his family and friends. But he's a repeat offender and can't stay off whatever it is, he's let down everyone over and over. He also bailed on the Stars when we had him. He needs rock bottom to turn his life around, constant privileges after you do this kind of stuff it creates a mentality that you can keep doing what your doing, get a slap on the hand and then get to play again

Give him one more year. He’s not a bad coach but sometimes you gotta move on from a coach just to shake things up. Edmonton this year, Pitt, St Louis a few years ago. Sometimes it’s the only thing you can do to give the team the kick in the ass that they need.

MIght get a win tonight...might not. Either way they dont have enough to win this series. Val being gone is a really big deal no matter how they spin it. Such a bummer to 'waste' these prime years of our top players. Offseason will see some changes. How different would this conversation be if they had thrown the money at Kadri that they gave to Val? In hindsight that was a major misfire but who could have known?

@@paulwakefield1015 the Avs have had zero answer to the Stars. Their game plan has been exactly the same with no adjustments, despite them never having a lead the entire series. I don't but this squarely on the coach's shoulders because the Avs basically have one good line and a bunch of filler. The Stars are running 4 deep lines and the Avs haven't pressed any advantage that they have. I would have thought that Val's suspension would light a fire under them, but instead they gave up. They looked absolutely lifeless on Monday and that is a failure of leadership.
