And with that, all of my favorite 2D platformers of all time are on switch together and I still can't believe it. Yoshi's Island, Rayman Legends and Ori and the Blind Forest.

Metroidvania in and of itself isn't directly a genre, it should rather be named a subgenre. Most of them are inherently platformers, they simply innovate and add other features, winding, varied paths, multiple abilities allowing you to progress and so on. Do you need it spelled out?
I mean, I loved hollow knight, and this game seems to be in a similar vain, so I’ll definitely check it out once it comes to switch.
It made me cry a lot at the start of the game.... Damn. Second switch game i bought that made me cry. First one was The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince.
I understand. The Lair Princess and the Blind Prince is so good. Have you heard of the Wicked King and the Noble Hero? It doesn't have a release date for NA or PAL territories yet but I'm hoping it'll be soon. 🤞 It'll come out in June for Japan.

It's a huge shame this masterpiece of a game isn't getting a physical release on Switch.
Nintendo made a physical release of this a few months back for the Switch, Ori: The Collection. Comes with 6 collector cards and digital download codes for soundtracks.
Persona should be on the switch.
Smt should be on PC and ps4 too.

You must definitely continue in this partnership with Microsoft Nintendo, I really love a lot this combination, but please also bring some games to Xbox if you can, at least like, Bayonetta, Astral Chain etc, I will definitely get this game for switch.

Always nintendo would get benefits by bringing a game like Bayonetta 2 to Xbox, and also she would get benefits from ori too, or what do you think, that Microsoft didn't spend money on making this masterpiece, and everyone knows why Sony and Microsoft didn't want to take the risk, on Bayonetta 2,it was because of the low sales the first version had, but Nintendo fans received it asi if it were the greatest game on switch, since they dont have too many hack and slash games, but the competition on ps3 and 360 was different, do you know how many hack and slash game are bailable for those consoles? So stop writing nonsense, and both companies would always make business as long as they get benefits, nothing is for free.
@DueMagician921 and something else, I have these games on my switch, Bayonetta 2 and Astral Chain, the only reason I would like to get them on my Xbox too, it's because I want to play them at native 4K 60fps.
The Xbox One is a failure? Last time I checked it's still outselling the Switch by nearly 15 million and it's Microsoft's fourth biggest source of revenue, wouldn't call that a failure. And frankly I'd also love to see some Nintendo games come to Xbox, even if the likelihood is low
Microsoft's recent financial report stated that there were 59M active Xbox live users, with around 10M on Windows 10. You can do the math and see it's 15M ahead.
I get it that the chance of Nintendo putting their games on Xbox is extremely low, but you can always dream and there's no need to be a dick about it.

I played this game on pc and seriously i love it so much. The art is absolutely stunning and the story is sad and beautiful. Not to mention that the background music is sooo good, definitely a must have for gamers.

That makes sense I guess, at least if that means the sequel isn't coming on switch any time soon. And what about cup head? That doesn't seem to bright of an idea either unless the have a sequel planned for that game to.
If that type of marketing is as smart as you say then when do you expect Nintendo to release breath of the wild on xbox? With the sequel about to come out that within the next year or so a botw xbox port would be just as beneficial to Nintendo.

Hopefully the will bring Will of the Wisps as well to Switch. I mean you can't give Nintendo fans the first game and then hold back once they've fallen in love. My prediction is a delayed port will come Holiday 2020

I am so glad this is on the switch now! I remember playing it on Xbox but the game ended up glitching (it would never load past the save slots) and I never got to finish it :( And now there’s a sequel too! I’m definitely buying both and finally finish playing this amazing game!

I have this on PC. I was relieved to know the definitive edition doesn't add anything super major and I can stay content with the OG version.

Ori is a masterpiece.
I'm so glad thousands more will get to experience it. Like many others, when I first played it on Xbox years ago, I thought "this feels like a Nintendo game that just happens to be on Xbox." I couldn't believe it when I heard it was coming to the switch. Music, visuals, story, and gameplay have rarely coalesced so well.
Also, Ori is one of the most difficult high quality platformers out there - second only to Celeste. Prepare to die a lot... And enjoy every second of it.

If you are especially a Super Metroid Nintendo kind of fan, buy this game immediately. If you like platforming, buy this game. If you like atmospheric stories told through the environment, buy this game. Just buy this gem. I cannot stress it enough.
Had the first release on steam but bought it yesterday on switch as well for playing it on the go. Can't go wrong with this game. Just wished they had done a boxed copy of this game.

Well I can say this game lived up to its reputation,im already on my second play through it was good.For people who may not be very good at platformers to Metroidvanias get this game,its nowhere as unforgiving as Celeste or Hollow Knight if you were put off by those games.You can create checkpoints almost anywhere,and the definitive edition even has difficulty options if the game is still too tough for you.
I'll buy it just because of how stunning it looks.
