This idea for a show isn't original and Saygin didn't come up with it. There's already a show in Canada called the Dragons Den which has entrepreneurs come on the show and they pitch their their business ideas and if the investors or so called "Dragons" think it's profitable they will invest in it and become partners. This idea I believe first started in Japan.
