I use the Tamiya TRF shocks. My TT02 is the type S so it has different suspension to the normal TT02. But I did have a type RR for a while and that worked great. So using just the type RR upper arms would be good

I can’t remember. Every time I make a pass it’s with different gearing. There is no set magic number. Gearing depends on a whole lot of factors like, motor kv, cell count, etc.
@@StewMac570 Ik it’s a bit over the top but I’ve got a 9250Kv motor. What hearing should I run for speed. Atm I’m trying to get it running smooth as it still judders when I set off and stops responding when I apply full throttle
@@lukevernon7611 the judder is just cogging and is totally normal for non sensored motors to do this. It’s just the esc trying to work out where the motor is.

Kaizer Test that’s to hard thing to figure out. Some motors like the extra load and some motors like less gearing a want to rev. A lot of my runs are done with a 60t spur and pinions between 37-45. It’s a matter of finding what your esc and motor likes.

Kaizer Test you can’t go wrong with a castle creations mamba monster 2. Another good little esc is the hobbywing 8BL150. Castle also do good little cap packs which will work on for low cells. Also good batteries make a huge difference. I have ran a 3300mah and 5000mah but they were high discharge. 60c constant 120c peak. The higher the mah and c the better.

Brad Kalman yeah Anthony just clocked a 90kph. The car has plenty more power but it’s hard to get to go straight. I just watched the video of the run and it reminded me of my Hornet speed runs.
You should also do more of 2wd and you should be the first one to do speed runs with all of tamiyas fwd and all there 2wd rc to show you the best at tamiya rc speed runs for all there kit be the master that everyone wants to beat.
John Handcock it’s so easy. Just make template with some cardboard and then transfer it to the carbon fibre. The sides are easy but the front is a little tricky on the TT02. I used a single piece and cut out the center of the carbon fibre to fit around the little step that’s on the bottom of the chassis. Then extended it out the front to act as a splitter. I used a few of the hols that mount the front bumper to add some strength.

I'm trying to just break 100mph and only made 97mph so far. It's not as easy as Stew makes it look...I think his title will stand for a long time to come if not indefinitely. When it comes to Tamiya speed runs you can safely say he is the King. How have you made out so far any good numbers yet?

I tried 60t spur and 45t pinion and finally got 100. 101mph! Esc and motor stayed alot cooler too.

slebdad pretty everything about the car is designed to make it go straight. Once you get the setup it basically steers itself.

Heaps of work with setup. Shims everywhere, good tires, good aero body, hours and hours of work making it just right.

I can’t remember exactly what gear combos fit in the TT02. But something like a 78/30 should get you 80mph.

Brad Kalman my budget doesn’t extend that far. But I am keen to do a F103GT with brushes motors. Try and crack 100mph with a brushed motor.

All it is, is some .5mm carbon fibre off eBay. Cut with scissors and glued on.

Best ive done is 99mph now on 3s

For connectors I like to use castle 8mm bullets. They allow for series or parallel configurations.
