Also he is interchanging the words "Upasana" and "Puja". Upasana is done for Ishwar and Puja is performed for Bhagwan. Ishwar is one but not Bhagwan. What Zakir Naik doesn't understand that the Vedas, Upanishads and all Hindu text wasn't written by one sage but many different sages. Back then about 3000-4000 years ago people used to debate and argue about their perception of God. Some argued that God is in everything and some argued that God is the creator and we are the created. Some believed in the many manifestations of a single Brahma. Some people even believed that there was no God. That's why you can see contrasting beliefs in the same texts. Zakir Naik is just showing one side of the coin. He just picks up one verse which has similar ideas to the Quran and tries to convince people. What he doesn't say that in the same Vedas there are verses which are used to worship Indra, Agni, etc. That's why the Indian culture is very spiritual. There's no concept of the one and only absolute 'The Truth' as u see in Abrahamic religions. The Hindu texts are about ideas and perceptions of people about God. There's no such thing as 'If u don't believe in God u go to hell'. I feel sorry for Zakir Naik as I understand spirtuality better than him. He's just in a blind pursuit of proselytization.I don't blame him. The Abrahamic texts condemn people who don't believe in the texts.

Unfortunately Naik is wrong. He seems to tell that the concept of god is the same in Islam and Hinduism and seem to propose only this objective singular concept of god. But he need to read and interpret the upanishad your way to understand. These schools of thought, like Advaita Vedanta, have come from the Upanishads, Gita and Brahma Sutras through different interpretations. See the Brhadaranyaka Upanisad for example. ADHYAYA 2 Section 5, verse 1 - This earth is the honey of all beings, and all beings are the honey of this earth. The radiant and immortal person in the earth and, in the case of the body (atman), the radiant and immortal person residing in the physical body-they are both one's self (atman). It is the immortal; it is brahman; it is the Whole. Here, you can say that that the self, the atman is immortal and is the Brahman, it is the ultimate reality. This is different from the concept of Allah in the creator is different from the creation. Also can see Katha Upanishad VALLI 4 The Self-existent One pierced the apertures outward, therefore, one looks out, and not into oneself. A certain wise man in search of immortality, turned his sight inward and saw the self within. Fools pursue outward desires, and enter the trap of death spread wide. But the wise know what constitutes the immortal, and in unstable things here do not seek the stable. It can indicate that the 'god' or what constitutes immortality is not outside, which can refer maybe to a personal god, it can be within and is one with the self, (Atman). See Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 4.4.5 'The Self (or the Soul(Atman)) is Brahman (or spiritual)' They are saying also that can interpreted as that the soul or self, the atman, is the Brahman or the ultimate reality. So if you say god and the creation is never the same, your mistaken in the Hindu concept, the soul is eternal just like the god, the physical body of skin is extinguishable, but the soul and god is the same. But in Islam the human soul won't be the same as the greatness of Allah. See Chhāndogya Upanishad 3.14.1 "All this that we see in the world is Brahman" ("everything in this material world is Maya, illusion") It can be taken as Brahman is everything. This again differs from Allah, Allah and the creation is always different. There is none like Allah is said the Quran usually, and the earth or the self is not equated with Allah's greatness. But in the Upanishads, it can be taken differently. See this other verse in VALLI 2, Katha Upanishad If the killer thinks that he kills; If the killed thinks that he is killed; Both of them fail to understand. He neither kills, nor is he killed. Finer than the finest, larger than the largest, is the self (atman) that lies here hidden in the heart of a living being. Without desires and free from sorrow, a man perceives by the creator's grace the grandeur of the self. Here it can also give a personnel god concept. Similar to the one of Allah. You can see, it says 'finer than the finest....' etc, is the self. Usually we can come to think that the self is the greatest. This surely may not match with The Allah's concept, cause the soul is not equal to Allah. But then later it also says 'by the creators grace', which can indicate that there is the creator who is greater. Unsure right? Or maybe just that we realize our greatness through the creator. So that's a bit like the concept of god in Islam. So you can see that you can interpret different concepts of god from the Upanishads also, it depends on the concept too. You are trying to make an absolutist or objective statement that there is only one concept. Then from the verse 22 onwards in Katha Upanishad When he perceives this immense, all-pervading self, as bodiless within bodies, as stable within unstable beings- A wise man ceases to grieve. This self cannot be grasped, by teachings or by intelligence, or even by great learning. Only the man he chooses can grasp him, whose body this self chooses as his own. Not a man who has not quit his evil ways; Nor a man who is not calm or composed; Nor even a man who is without a tranquilmind; Could ever secure it by his mere wit. For whom the Brahmin and the Ksatriya are both like a dish of boiled rice; and death is like the sprinkled sauce; Who truly knows where he is? This can indicate who really knows the answer or where 'he' is. It talks and revers the self too again. So there you have it, these verses and others also can be a way in which school of thought Advaita Vedanta is taken. So there are different and varied concepts in the Upanishads, which are sruti scripture, like the Vedas.

You can ask questions in Hinduism as it respect freedom of speech- one man woman relation ship is recommended as it respect women- Hinduism preserve all animal and plant kingdom by making even the venomous cobra a deity. Every Text is picture, god has no language. He just understand only feelings and feelings are in best position when we are in front an statue and picture of God which we treat as god.

What Zakir Naik doesn't understand that the Vedas, Upanishads and all Hindu text wasn't written by one sage but many different sages. Back then about 3000-4000 years ago people used to debate and argue about their perception of God. Some argued that God is in everything and some argued that God is the creator and we are the created. Some believed in the many manifestations of a single Brahma. Some people even believed that there was no God. That's why you can see contrasting beliefs in the same texts.
Zakir Naik is just showing one side of the coin. He just picks up one verse which has similar ideas to the Quran and tries to convince people. What he doesn't say that in the same Vedas there are verses which are used to worship Indra, Agni, etc.
That's why the Indian culture is very spiritual. There's no concept of the one and only absolute 'The Truth' as u see in Abrahamic religions. The Hindu texts are about ideas and perceptions of people about God. There's no such thing as 'If u don't believe in God u go to hell'.
I feel sorry for Zakir Naik as I understand spirtuality better than him. He's just in a blind pursuit of proselytization.I don't blame him. The Abrahamic texts condemn people who don't believe in the texts.

Unfortunately Naik is wrong. He seems to tell that the concept of god is the same in Islam and Hinduism and seem to propose only this objective singular concept of god. But he need to read and interpret the upanishad your way to understand. These schools of thought, like Advaita Vedanta, have come from the Upanishads, Gita and Brahma Sutras through different interpretations. See the Brhadaranyaka Upanisad for example.

Section 5, verse 1 - This earth is the honey of all beings, and all beings are the honey of this earth. The radiant and immortal person in the earth and, in the case of the body (atman), the radiant and immortal person residing in the physical body-they are both one's self (atman). It is the immortal; it is brahman; it is the Whole.
Here, you can say that that the self, the atman is immortal and is the Brahman, it is the ultimate reality. This is different from the concept of Allah in the creator is different from the creation. Also can see Katha Upanishad

The Self-existent One pierced the apertures outward,
therefore, one looks out, and not into oneself. A certain wise man in search of immortality,
turned his sight inward and saw the self within.
Fools pursue outward desires, and enter the trap of death spread wide.

and in unstable things here do not seek the stable.
It can indicate that the 'god' or what constitutes immortality is not outside, which can refer maybe to a personal god, it can be within and is one with the self, (Atman).

'The Self (or the Soul(Atman)) is Brahman (or spiritual)'
They are saying also that can interpreted as that the soul or self, the atman, is the Brahman or the ultimate reality. So if you say god and the creation is never the same, your mistaken in the Hindu concept, the soul is eternal just like the god, the physical body of skin is extinguishable, but the soul and god is the same. But in Islam the human soul won't be the same as the greatness of Allah.

"All this that we see in the world is Brahman" ("everything in this material world is Maya, illusion")
It can be taken as Brahman is everything. This again differs from Allah, Allah and the creation is always different. There is none like Allah is said the Quran usually, and the earth or the self is not equated with Allah's greatness. But in the Upanishads, it can be taken differently.

If the killer thinks that he kills; If the killed thinks that he is killed; Both of them fail to understand.
He neither kills, nor is he killed.
Finer than the finest, larger than the largest, is the self (atman) that lies here hidden
in the heart of a living being. Without desires and free from sorrow,
a man perceives by the creator's grace the grandeur of the self.
Here it can also give a personnel god concept. Similar to the one of Allah. You can see, it says 'finer than the finest....' etc, is the self. Usually we can come to think that the self is the greatest. This surely may not match with The Allah's concept, cause the soul is not equal to Allah. But then later it also says 'by the creators grace', which can indicate that there is the creator who is greater. Unsure right? Or maybe just that we realize our greatness through the creator. So that's a bit like the concept of god in Islam.
So you can see that you can interpret different concepts of god from the Upanishads also, it depends on the concept too. You are trying to make an absolutist or objective statement that there is only one concept.
Then from the verse 22 onwards in Katha Upanishad
When he perceives this immense, all-pervading self,
as bodiless within bodies, as stable within unstable beings-
A wise man ceases to grieve.
This self cannot be grasped, by teachings or by intelligence,
or even by great learning.
Only the man he chooses can grasp him,
whose body this self chooses as his own.
Not a man who has not quit his evil ways; Nor a man who is not calm or composed; Nor even a man who is without a tranquilmind;
Could ever secure it by his mere wit.
For whom the Brahmin and the Ksatriya are both like a dish of boiled rice; and death is like the sprinkled sauce;
Who truly knows where he is?
This can indicate who really knows the answer or where 'he' is. It talks and revers the self too again.
So there you have it, these verses and others also can be a way in which school of thought Advaita Vedanta is taken. So there are different and varied concepts in the Upanishads, which are sruti scripture, like the Vedas.

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong? According to my research, the ONE GOD in Hinduism is BhramaN with N which is ultimate reality, of which other other three main Gods i.e Bhrama with no N , Vishnu, and Shiva are the aspects of this one God!
And the characteristics of this one God BhramaN is similar to the characteristics of God concept given in Islam( Allah Almighty )
Head's & hand's of Hindu God's & goddess doesn't mean they physical Mr.Scholar, it is a symbolic way of conveying message that they are capable of doing more than one thing. You will never understand all this stuff even if you read all the holy books of Hinduism again & again coz "reading & remembering the text" is different from "reading & understanding the content".

Vedas do mention about resurrection but also beyond that. Knowledge of vedic scriptures go beyond hell and heaven, in fact whole vedic scriptures are about oneness of supreme soul and individual souls i.e. mukti or moksha.
So if you have limited knowledge of vedic scriptures pls don't spread lies.
