abhee toh mein 2nd year medical student hun but mujhey PLAB ka boht shoq hai because UK has always been my dream place since childhood, lekn mein soch rahee hun ek doctor k liye sub se comfortable place konsee hogee among USA, UK and Australia, USMLE feels like it is too tough for me , uss ki cost bhee zyada hai and I am scared of America because of racism and Islamophobia there, and Australia ne personally kabhee mujhey itna attract nahi kiya, mein UK se impressed hun but as u r saying k salary itnee zyada nahi hai but agar koi surgeon hai udhar jese cardio or neurosurgeon uss ki toh pay hogee na zyada specially when he/she is senior? just asking a genuine question, agar mein UK mein doctor ban gae toh kya mein apne parents k liye itna kar paun gee k mein unhein achee jagahon mein ghumanay k qaabil ban sakun aur apne papa ki responsbilities le sakun k vo relaxed life guzarein ?

I ,being a medical student, have been thinking about passing PLAB exams to enter UK system and then afterwards get residency and give my services as a consultant in the middle east (for better economic value and family)
Do u think this plan is good ? Or i have to go for other options ?
I dont want to stress my parents too much for USMLE examination thats why i wanna come to the UK .

Aoa Would you recommend uk to someone who has old parents. Are you able to bring them to UK with you after few years. Iam not getting residency in Pakistan even though I have passed fcps 1 exam.
Wsalam. Unfortunately it is near impossible to get a permanent visa for parents in UK. They can come visit you on a visitor visa though. You need to set your priorities and then decide. If you think your parents need you more then UK might not be a good option. If there is someone who can help them then you can come here do your training and then move to middleeast where you can keep your parents with you

In which grade there is good opportunity for IMGs to enter in the UK…. Like in FY2/SHO or in higher levels like CT ?
Comparing it to USMLE, u can get matched even if u have not/just completed ur housejob….. so how much time it usually takes if u follow PLAB pathway from a start (like planning it from ur final year, getting articles, electives, LORs etc) ?

vese Pakistan and uss k surrounding countries mein bhee itnee pay nahi hai doctors ki and it takes time ek successful doctor ban'ne k liye, but u can choose USMLE because udhar paisa sub se zyada hai but for that u have to become excellent student too in your med life because USMLE isn't so easy and somewhat costly too for average middle class person
