The Nala Sinephro is superb and you'll certainly love her first one too (Space 1.8). I dig Shipping News but have none on vinyl sadly. Krautrock (for lack of a better word) is squarely on my radar here - one of the Lausanne shops, aptly named YooDooRight, is loaded with cool stuff so it's not a matter of if but when I come across nuggets like those two Clusters you showed. Same for the French jazz! Boykins is another major want here - congrats Dom! PS- love seeing the local clips in intro.
Hello Cedric, happy holidays to you in Switzerland. I have indeed streamed the Space 1.8 and it will be making it to my home very soon. It's a beauty as well. YooDooRight, I've heard of that store and of course the name gets my juices going. Would love to explore that place. Cheers and speak with you soon!
That Josef K was a BIG one for me back in the day, I really do need to track down a copy! Great stuff as usual. I really like the Jean Piche, I traded my copy ages ago which i semi regret (but I could easily buy back)
Those Josef K singles are amazing as well. I dig Orange Juice but probably more in the camp of these guys. Cool you had the Piche, guess you see that record there then? Figured it would be a French Canadian common find.
Damn Dom smokin’ stuff that Self Titled Cluster have to seek out a long with that beautiful German Kraftwerk I also have a UK original that record is so good . That Ronnie Boykins sounds amazing never heard that record I’ll had to add it on the wantlist love the sample Dom . I’m going to show my summer finds this sometime this week brother .
Hey Lovell. Oh yeah, you can't go wrong with that Boykins. It's a lovely and interesting listen. Hits all the right notes. Yes, I was able to replace my Cluster II as well which I know you know where that is, lol! Cheers, hope you are good my friend
Nice video, lots of titles I've never heard of. We might have to absorb some of them. Tiffany shade is a little too pop psych for me but I do somewhat like it. I need to pull it out and listen again.
Hey Chris. I wouldn't call the Tiffany Shade essentially but it is highly enjoyable and the Mainstream label is a fun one to collect. Sold a few titles from the label but still have a good bunch.
Always love finding inspiration from your videos. I got a Penguin Cafe record back in the Spring as a blind buy, simply off the album art. Fits the music perfectly. Just last weekend found a German first pressing of Grazing Dreams which you recently talked about. Keep it up!
That Josef K The Only Fun In Town sure sounded hot. I'll give the album a listen tonight. I bought another post-punk album this week after listening to Stunty's stream. Sometimes i go through a phase were a certain sound is just...right. I agree with you about the Ralf & Florian (that's my fav Kraftwerk). Very cool to add that to your collection. I discovered Cluster II when I was first getting into experimental German music. Bought it without any idea what it had to offer; to this day, II remains a favorite. Thanks for share, Dom. Enjoy the holiday. Cheers! Shawn
Enjoy the holiday as well Shawn, take it easy! Camberwell Now? That was excellent from the stream and had been looking for that. Have a singles comp of their stuff and love This Heat. All the Kraftwerk titles are amazing but yeah those first 3 are where its at. Still so strange they have turned their backs to those records.
Man I love a good library sticker, my copy of the McLean Mix still has the check out card and pocket glued to the front. Great stuff as always Dom thanks for sharing!
Thanks Mark, yes I don't mind radio stamps, call letters or library stuff attached to used records. It's all part of the history of it to me. Unless its obnoxiously applied right over artwork or something. That is frustrating.
I usually have an idea of what my next AA pick is, but I'm drawing a blank right now. Hope to release a fresh one this week. Whoa, the descriptors on Nela Sinephro sounds like my thing? I'm looking for more spiritual/lush jazz rather than noise. Tiffany Shade was recorded within a day or two, really rushed sessions which do reflect a bit on the music. Interesting use of electric piano which isn't typical. Nice Kraut additions as well! Always interesting pieces here though.
Yeah should've done a full-blown AA archives piece for that Tiffany Shade. Got to keep the project going. Seems pretty well liked and certainly liked quite a bit by me justifying the original. I would stream the Sinephro. It's all of those things and very spiritual
@ Listened to Sinephro this morning. Always ever changing, very free. Not sure if I enjoyed so much the strings, but the electronic 8-bit type of repetition was drawing me in. I’ll give it another go.
Dom, nice Cluster upgrades. Looking forward to the Fahey/Basho update. I should try one of these Acid Archives Diaries, they look like fun. Thanks, Chris
Super cool absorptions. Yes, really nice to chat a bit. I have the Josef K single "It's Kinda Funny" that's also on the LP, love that song, I should probably check out the whole LP. Wow, I would really like a copy of Ralf and Florian, it's high on my want list. Looking forward to your video about John Fahey. I have a big hole in my collection where I should put my John Fahey records. His early discography is such a mess, so many versions. I only have Transfiguration of BJD on Transatlantic UK press from 67. Anyway, great video, very enjoyable as usual. Cheers!
Hey Jonas. Yes should have that Fahey / Basho / Takoma update out this week. Lots of upgrades to label, first pressing and condition. Ralf and Florian I still need that pesky comic. Surprised you didn't see it in Den Bosh? Or perhaps not the right price. Anyhow, great to hear from you as always
@@seekingathread I saw some Ralf and Florian in Den Bosch, but it wasn't the right price or condition etc. You know how it is. The hunt goes on. Looking forward to Fahey, Basho etc. Cheers!
Hi Dom! I picked up Craig Kupka Crystals over the summer, great record. Perception is awesome French jazz! John Tchicai is still pretty under rated imo. Ronnie Boykins is a favorite here, was lucky enough to score that for $50 at fmu some years back.
Hey Tom. I still want that earlier Perception with Thollot on it. But Mestari is so good. Every I played it this year I realized how perfect it applied to my tastes right now. And yes the Boykins is a cornerstone of my jazz collection now. Cheers!
Scott at Lunchbox needs to start giving me and Dave a cut. Especially around RSD times. Lol. Endlessness is Top 3 for me. It is getting some broader attention. Well deserved. Maybe Andre 3000 is broadening people’s horizons. 😅 Don’t worry, Dom. You’ll be driving the market up on those Shipping News LPs. It doesn’t take much. Two people watching this video will result in a 150% spike. Nice to see the Kraftwerk and Cluster gets. After watching the usual suspects showing his records, at some point I’ll probably take the Tchicai plunge. Good update. Cheers ✌🏻
Just don't ask me to spell Tchai or Tchicai. Never will be able to. That's how you know you've made it in the VC. Driving up the prices for your fellow youtubers and the unsuspecting followers of post-hardcore. But seriously, Lunchbox is reliable as hell for finding those new titles you can't find elsewhere. And usually lowest price too.
How does your Jon Gibson sound? My lp has minor surface noise here and there on Side A but Side B is noisy af. Vinyl looks NM, so thinking those pressing are just not the best.
Yo. I'd have to go back and check but certainly nothing comes to mind. Don't recall it being noisy. But wouldn't be surprised if copies on that label weren't always the best.
Thanks for the jean piche recommendation
Ralf + Florian is a classic. Found a sealed cut-out US Vertigo a few years ago. Still on the hunt for the first 2 Kraftwerk lps.
No comic, awwww. I'll be watching close to see if the wife lets you wear that squirrel on your face to the holidays lol 😆 😜

Can’t help but associate your opening music with Napoleon Dynamite. It plays after the famous dance sequence. Great content-as usual.
Good ear. It is that song but the cover version by the artist who scored that movie I believe. This is the original recording.

Everything you mentioned is 🔥.
Nice update. Mermaids for $15 would still be a steal, sweet Kraut upgrades. Still looking for that Gibson myself.
Yeah really. Not sure why it got reduced to $5 so quick but I'll take it. Nothing wrong with the condition either.
Excellent selection Dom. I found out about Mermaids through Stunty too and its proved to be one of my favorites of the year.
Such a beauty
Strong finish. Two major pieces still parked on my wantlist.
Always love finding inspiration from your videos. I got a Penguin Cafe record back in the Spring as a blind buy, simply off the album art. Fits the music perfectly. Just last weekend found a German first pressing of Grazing Dreams which you recently talked about. Keep it up!
Grazing dreams is a classic for me!
Ah, Colin Wolcott. Yes, lovely one. I shall do my best
Thanks for pronouncing Edinburgh correctly! (people from North America usually get it wrong)
You are welcome. I try to pay attention to that but will fuck up plenty of pronunciation. Don't worry about that!
@@seekingathread I would never hold it against you! Great video and thanks for introducing me to Crystals, Perception and Natalia Beylis
Wow Beautiful Opening scenes! Sending out my Christmas mix soon. your on the list to get one! Thumbs up! Trish
Thanks Trish! Good to hear from you

You have been a consistent contributor sir. I think I still need to watch a few of yours.

Im gonna buy me a label and move it here when i hit the lottery tonight. That would be such a badass thing to rather than spend it on showy crap
That would be my splurge if the money were limitless.
Edinburgh is Scotland… The capital if I’m not mistaken. FYI 😊
Indeed. I am aware but was trying to be the most specific as to not distance myself from the geography crowd.
How does your Jon Gibson sound? My lp has minor surface noise here and there on Side A but Side B is noisy af. Vinyl looks NM, so thinking those pressing are just not the best.

I much prefer Ralf und Florian and the previous 2 albums to all the other Kraftwerk stuff.
I truly like everything but favorite is also those early records. 3, 1 and 2 in order of preference
