11:45 me personally I interpret this scene as Bardock is defeated. He can’t go on. He is most definitely gonna die and he knows that but whether he knew it or not, he wanted to install fear into Nolan fear that is there are people like me stronger deadlier and that whether he wants to or not, he’s gonna have to fight the them and this world he’s protecting is gonna be destroyed, which Nolan realizes. And I said, Nolan cusses for that reason.
Stumbling across your channel is what made me start following death battle after having only watched bits and pieces of it waaay back in the screwattack era. Seeing your video on the first new match makes the "we are so back" feeling complete.
I also heard him say wife for the longest time and I needed someone to point out that he was saying world for me to unhear it. Aside from that I loved everything about this episode. I might be biased since it's the first episode we've gotten since the worst waiting period in Death Battle history that will likely never be topped, but I don't even think it's that far behind Omniman's last episode which is saying a lot. Both analysis segments were amazing but for different reasons. Omniman's analysis didn't cover his entire story from the comics but it had the best editing in the entire show and that is not an exaggeration. It also felt like a great continuation of where Omniman vs Homelander left off. I definitely think that they could feature other Invincible matchups in order to fully cover the story by the time the animated show is finished, especially an episode with Mark by the time they can talk about all comic spoilers. Bardock's analysis didn't have nearly as good of editing even though it was still solid, but it covered Bardock's story a lot better and more in-depth. It also didn't feel so repetitive like Vegeta, Frieza, or especially Goku Black's analysis segments in modern DB. The fight is also really great. It's not as visually strong as Devil's last fight and there is some slight jank, but it doesn't have the pacing issues of that one since this one was non-stop action from start to finish. Not only is the DBZ action great as usual and gives us a more quintessential Omniman fight compared to the oddball that Omniman vs Homelander was but DevilArtemis' creativity definitely shines at points with some of the choreography like Omniman using Bardock's escape pod to give his punch more impact, along with him ripping off the Great Ape's tail and using it to smack Bardock. The most exhilarating part of the fight for me was the final battle between Super Saiyan Bardock and Omniman, not only does this make Megatron vs Frieza's climax look even lamer, but this ending has some of the best feelings of speed and intensity in any Dragon Ball Death Battle for sure. I especially love Omniman throwing Bardock's entire energy wave. I also think that Omniman's "Fuck" can be interpreted as him realizing that more Saiyans could likely come to avenge Bardock especially since Bardock mentioned that he has sons that would kick Mark's ass along with something he said in exhaustion after a hard fought battle. The track also amazing and felt like a great continuation of Omniman vs Homelander's track. The conclusion was good too. Despite what this episode's detractors claim, who act like Death Battle's research team are complete tools meanwhile they can't even pay attention to the corner boxes, it was right by it's own logic especially since Death Battle has made it clear that they feature characters at their absolute best. I think whether you buy the sun disk or not is more of a problem with Death Battle's rules than any individual episode, especially since I disagreed with Stitch getting put at universe level and Spider-Man's attack potency getting put at town level. I prefer more consistent scaling and direct feats, but at least Death Battle tries to stick to their own rules more than they used to unlike AnimationRewind whose rules are entirely dependent on what mood he's in. I'm giving Bardock vs Omniman a solid 9/10 because I honestly had almost no problems with it. Both analysis segments were great with one of them having editing that genuinely surpasses Superman's analysis, the fight was a blast from start to finish with no moments that really bothered me, and the conclusion made a lot of sense.
Also I find it weird how everyone is complaining about this episode's scaling for Omniman and acting like it's the worst thing in the history of anything ever, meanwhile nobody complained about Stitch apparently being strong enough to destroy a universe despite that one being way more inconsistent and using pretty much the same logic as the sun disk. I guess it's only a problem when it involves a Dragon Ball character, a Bleach character, or some other overpowered anime character losing. Can't wait for Joker vs Giorno.
@@deathstroke994 Cause if I'm being honest they haven't been really doing a great job with how the research as of late. Some of the more recent fights involving other DB characters the scaling was extremely questionable at best.

Don't worry Biff, I heard Wife too instead of War, but i might have an explanation as to why others heard Wife. The mix of the sound design making the line delivery somewhat unclear to hear and Bardocks Analysis ending with a focus on his love for his wife and family, it creates an Auditory Illusion that makes it so you hear more then one word. So you can hear both "World" and "Wife" and your brain is telling you "yeah this makes sense so you are hearing this". That's probably why alot of us heard Wife at first.
Omni-mans demeanour in both episodes is like the difference between a guy getting a rock in his shoe during a casual stroll vs a guy after a super close long marathon
Don't let the good analysis, kickass fight, amazing soundtrack and...not bad but could have been improved post analysis distract you from the fact that the salt caused by the outcome is so outrageous, there was a news article about it. No, I am not kidding. We really are so fucking back.
You're not alone, Biff. I also thought Bardock said "wife" instead of "world" the first time watching. It took me far too long to figure out the reference, and I still kick myself for not realizing sooner.
They (presumably accidentally) applied both the Super Saiyan multiplier and the Oozaru multiplier at the same time on the graphic, so Omni-Man would be 200x stronger.
Also whall omni man couldn't hit bardock snd and bardock couldn't hurt him omni man has literally hundreds of thousands of times more stamina since goku even whal using versions of super saying that dont drain samina and actufaly pacing him self could bearly fight for an hour and omni man can fly for days without getting tierd And un drsgon ball if someone is more the 2x stronger than you you can't hurnt them so omni man is 10 x over the threshold where bardock couldn't hurt him and bardock would literally die of exhaustion before he could kill nolan and even if he could hurt him viltriamites can fight through having there organ ripped out so omni man still wins
Doesn't matter how many times or how quickly you hit someone if it doesn't do lasting damage you'll just tire out and then become slower. People forget fighters can only move at top speed for so long before they become slower and that happens faster the quicker you move.
Erm Bardock’s visor disappeared between shots 6/10. I liked that this was one of the few episodes where going in I had no idea who was going to win, that was cool. Also have you heard of this meme spawned from Invincible called think Mark?
Omni man is probably supposed to have damage but it being a budget animation and what they’re working with just makes the blood on omni mans uniform look like bardocks instead of his.
Something that also needs to be brought up: disagreeing with the episode is fine, but don't go around insulting or threatening any members of the DB team just because Bardock lost. It goes without saying, but it's not that serious, it's a damn versus show, where it's entirely subjective.
10:55 Also as another great callback to Diabolical Invincible Me. “You feel the threat cause every step is like a mountain moving” plays when Bardock goes Great Ape. Love when the lyrics match what happens on screen
I'm kinda surprised to see an actual review for this, but I guess it makes sense, enough downtime between episodes and what not. Plus the reception was... yup.
Well Biff (alongside others] unlike most will actually review the episode and say what was good and what could've been better not say "the episode was horrible because it was wrong" or "why would do this matchup, it's a complete stomp"
@DuncanTave The thing is, Death Battle's _entire premise_ is for the team to do research on two fictional characters, often picking ones close in strength, and produce an animation that shows who would win based off of that research. That is literally the gist of the series and how they advertise it to everyone. If they didn't want so much backlash in that direction, then they should just drop the pretense of it being a measure of feats, and just have it be a collection of well made animations showing off characters from different series fighting. They _have_ the budget and the following to make that switch easily, but don't because drama drums up more views I guess.
@@irrelevant739Except the example they used, Nolan destroying Viltrum, should've logically proven the opposite to be true. Nolan needed the help of two other Viltrumites and Speed Racer's planet destabilizing gun to even destroy the planet, and it was even stated that timing it wrong would've resulted in their deaths. Meanwhile they say Bardock levels to King Vegeta, who casually destroyed three planets. By their own logic, Bardock should've won since Nolan could only do a lesser feat with help, not on his own.

Not gonna go into detail on why i feel like the episode was heavily flawed since i did that on another video i commented but I'll state my short thoughts: the episode for me is basically pretty underwhelming if you're judging every aspect of the episode (i.e the post-analysis). But if you're looking for the just the fight it's great even if there's a few frames that look out of place. The only thing i hope for going forward is that is the post analysis isn't controversial in the research going forward from me cause from what i've seen controversy can only carry you so far before it backfires on you. Overall 6/10 imo.
Honestly i love this episode and it really sucks the quality fo the episode is being drowned out by the verdict, espically since well the verdict before this episode the consensus was "it could go either way" only for it not to go the way they wanteds and causing a issue including death threats and slurs slung towards the team.... ugh, good episode terrible community reaction
The community reaction I've seen as someone who doesn't watch deathbattle has only been that they glazed Nolan, and highly lowballed Bardock. How bad has what you've seen been?
Nah the general consensus was always a very easy win for bardock. People aren’t just upset bardock lost, they’re upset at how poorly the research was done.
@@Helm-0 Thank you! Everyone who says this episode is great is just judging mostly on the fight itself and while i do agree it carries the episode hard the research from this episode was so awful to the point where imo it's the worst episode research wise since Lara Croft vs Nathan Drake. It drags the episode down by a lot if you're judging the episode on every aspect.
I actually like Solid State Invincible as a name more than Diabolical Invincible Me cause it works as a reference to Bardock's theme "Solid State Scouter" + having motifs from that theme.
I know what it’s referencing, it’s still just very clunky and doesn’t roll off the tongue well at all. It’s also bizarre to me that both Nolan track names focus on Mark’s name instead of his.
Honestly, as long as they’re trying to be even and good with analysis. According to what they showed, Nolan seemed fair. Bardock is a complicated guy to approach and really it’s more of how you scale Omniman. I’m side eyeing the scaling a bit, but I’m no fan to understand I did! I genuinely thought wife. Argue with a wall far away from here 😂
11:08 wtf what you doing for peak solid state invincible song, happy feet two? also it's diabolical invincible me is better that solid state invincible?
Idk if this is something biff would care about but also at the beginning of the fight when they have their arms locked against each other i think is supposed to be a reference to mk1 because that’s how the intro dialogues look in mk1 and obviously omniman is in mk1
biff editing the clip of homelander getting beat up against the wall to be sped up made me think it could be used as a clip with a 144p quality with a white bar and an impact font and honestly I'm just disappointed in myself and have to hold myself accountable by telling the comments
I like this episode, but do not love it. It did grow a lot on me already however. Also i do love the voice acting, and the analysis editing, but the research feels kinda weird this time
As a dbz fan i didnt hate this fight. I was just baffled by some of the stuff they gave. Im pretty musre Omniman shouldbe been faster than Bardock right but in terms of overall power Bardock clears. And they gave him theoretical Super Saiyan and...he still loss? Its just baffling.
I don't think there is a single confirmed episode that I'm not excited for (other than tom vs wile e (I'm so tired of toon force)), and my obsession with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is finally paying off.

If they didn't want so much backlash in that direction, then they should just drop the pretense of it being a measure of feats, and just have it be a collection of well made animations showing off characters from different series fighting. They _have_ the budget and the following to make that switch easily, but don't because drama drums up more views I guess.

8:20 Honestly, this is the first time I am hearing that it wasn't my wife.
Same
Yeah I heard wife as well, and honestly I like it better than world, even if it is a reference
I mean... the Wiki itself thought Bardock said 'wife'. Wait... am I also going senile?
No you’re not the only one. I thought Bardock said wife instead of world too until I saw the storyboards.
No Group Reaction Highlight?🥲
Cool fight
Terribly explained results
*Flashback to Ben 10 vs Green Lantern*
They really should have said some of the corner box stuff out loud.
Same lead researcher by the way.
I also thought I heard him say “wife” and tbf I still do
I think... I miss my shockwaves
Doesn’t matter who wins the fight, Dr. Wheelo stomps both of them.
I feel like Omni man actually should’ve just been instantly vaporized, bardock can annihilate planets
there are analysis segments
Yes but the analysis frogat from sam reason three have tree viltromute in the boming the plent and the core was unstable sow they lie@irrelevant739
@@irrelevant739 that literally state bardock has power similar to king vegeta who can destroy many planets
@@samthefaustmain4068 that mention Omni-Man being able to do the same and more
@@irrelevant739Except the example they used, Nolan destroying Viltrum, should've logically proven the opposite to be true.
I 100% heard and still hear “Wife.” And I still thinks it fits from the perspective of someone completely clueless.
Join the club Biff in thinking Bardock said "wife" instead of "word" cause I seen a lot of reactions hearing the same
As someone who didn’t like the episode, thank you for enlightening me
And thank you for saying Omnilander is better, it is my all time favorite episode
Gonna be honest, I only ever heard ‘world’, I had to try and listen for ‘wife’ to hear it.
Also Bardock actually draws first blood with that lunging punch he gives Nolan in their clash in the sky, though you pretty much have to watch it frame by frame to notice it.
Don't worry weed I heard wife instead of world. And even if that wasn't the proper line I still thought it was in character or at least the way that death battle was writing Bardock
This episode's verdict showed me that Death Battle is truly back. Can't wait for the salt mine that is Joker vs Giorno!
Yup, isn’t death battle without indisputably false outcomes.
You people are weird and annoying I think
Joker finna fucking have better speed and durability somehow and win
@@AdamSlander888 I have seen pretty high scaling for Joker though I don't know if DB will use it.
@@judemanr7814 the joker is a normal ass dude, giorno is in fact not a normal ass dude. They gonna give him golden experience requiem and still somehow make him lose. Watch
I still hear him saying even after being told he said world.
I did think bardock said wife too
Honestly i love this episode and it really sucks the quality fo the episode is being drowned out by the verdict, espically since well the verdict before this episode the consensus was "it could go either way" only for it not to go the way they wanteds and causing a issue including death threats and slurs slung towards the team.... ugh, good episode terrible community reaction
@@idcblue1527 it's just a weird way to start things off isnt it? makes me a little worried for the season
He didn't say wife??? Okay, that makes a lot more sense. xD
It would be funny if Dr. Wheelo became the new Tai Lung
This was a one time thing because my friends asked me to put him in the video. I will probably never mention him again
THE DRINK REFERENCE!!!!!!!!
Ngl i thought that bardock yelled War instead of world 😭😭😭
I actually like Solid State Invincible as a name more than Diabolical Invincible Me cause it works as a reference to Bardock's theme "Solid State Scouter" + having motifs from that theme.
I’m side eyeing the scaling a bit, but I’m no fan to understand
I did! I genuinely thought wife.
Argue with a wall far away from here 😂
11:08 wtf what you doing for peak solid state invincible song, happy feet two?
also it's diabolical invincible me is better that solid state invincible?
We are SO back
What match up is Evan v Michael?
Is this some throw-away joke line?
Idk if this is something biff would care about but also at the beginning of the fight when they have their arms locked against each other i think is supposed to be a reference to mk1 because that’s how the intro dialogues look in mk1 and obviously omniman is in mk1
I def thought he said wife instead of world
Also why didn’t they just have the track be like “invincible state” or something
While I heard world, I’ve seen a lot of people say they heard wife so your not on your own.
Great return to the series, but damn Death Battle won't even let us have something *close* to Goku beating Superman lmao
We did get some kind of Goku related dub in Hercules vs Sun Wukong so that’s something.
Hercules VS Sun Wukong?
i too confused Bardock's line lol
It feels good to back
I swear it was “WIFE”
biff editing the clip of homelander getting beat up against the wall to be sped up made me think it could be used as a clip with a 144p quality with a white bar and an impact font and honestly I'm just disappointed in myself and have to hold myself accountable by telling the comments
Same, I thought he said wife instead of worlds
I like this episode, but do not love it. It did grow a lot on me already however.
Also i do love the voice acting, and the analysis editing, but the research feels kinda weird this time
They high balled onmiman so much with the planet feat, and didn't work with full info, no problem with omniman winning, just a bit annoyed
Think Weed
As a dbz fan i didnt hate this fight. I was just baffled by some of the stuff they gave. Im pretty musre Omniman shouldbe been faster than Bardock right but in terms of overall power Bardock clears.
And they gave him theoretical Super Saiyan and...he still loss?
Its just baffling.
Yeah, I heard "wife" instead of "world" the first time too.
Pomni-Man VS Bardock the Magnificent
Omni Man vs Bardock is a strong start to the independent era.
I don't think there is a single confirmed episode that I'm not excited for (other than tom vs wile e (I'm so tired of toon force)), and my obsession with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is finally paying off.
I also heard wife, but this coming from me doesn’t mean much.
He def said wife
Wait a second... he doesn't say wife???
I too thought he said wife
I definitely heard wife in the episode, and I kind of wish that WAS the line, because it shows Bardock's true colors in the end
13:59 Why don't you delete it noting of value will be lost
It's his 2nd most viewed video
Why would he
@@Acequatch He hates the video and it's awful
Bardock: My son can defeat yours!
Me: Haha, well, I think there is no doubt about that.
Bardock: Am talking about Raditz
Me: Oh... that's another thing.
Heard "wife" as well 🖐️
Man all this anime fans made that they character loses just because they think everything made by japan is better.
8:20 wait your telling me he said would and NOT WIFE!?!?!? Bro it sounds exactly like he's saying wife! I guess it makes sense to mistake him saying that since he was in the middle of talking about his family.
I heard wife too
