I grew up eating this great food. As a kid I ate at the Coleman’s on Cicero ave. I was about 9 or 10 years old (85) when I use to order a bag of 50 cent French fries .075 with mild sauce. The nice lady would pinch my cheeks. I smiled because I thought it got me more fries lol . Great memories there. It’s no longer there but #2 is quite delicious also. A must visit whenever go back home. 60644 forever!!!
Grew up down the street from that Coleman's off Lake St. Myself on a street called Ferdinand. We later Moved on Chgo Ave. I Would jump on the #66 Chgo Ave bus to go to Coleman's #2, come back on the same transfer.😆
Exactly same experience for me too and Mrs Coleman and the other older crew members got it right every time, just probably had to wait awhile for the perfection..
OUT WEST!!!!!!! My boy fellipe Moffett (BYRD)put me on them in the EARLY 1990s . Comin out of cleve i was. They was fire...he from AUGUSTA & ST.LOUIS STREET
You gotta remember Mr & Mrs Lewis's Grocery store on Chgo Ave between Trumbull & St. Louis? We used to go there and get a sack of wings for $2. I remember Mrs Lewis being mean. You better not be a nickel, dime or a few pennies short, she'd have a fit. They had a laundry mat too...
Sweet America, you r the Best! There is nothing like this in Russia at all. Or restaurants with great prices. How far behind is my country in terms of food service.

Please is there anyone that can help me remember this man and his restaurant? He was a former wrestler, he was bald on top but had long hair, and i believe Elliott did his segment. I believe it was a pizza restaurant. It's an older episode. I can't remember it or find it anywhere. Can anyone help? It's been driving me CRAZY trying to remember. Lol
Oh my goodness! I love me some Coleman's barbecue. My sister that still lives in Chicago will send me some rib tips by my sister that lives here in Decatur. I promise you when I go home, I am going by Coleman's to get me some tips and hot links. Delicious! A must have!!!
The sauce is what makes Chicago the best!

Thats ur opinion..not fact..i hate Ben's there sauce is terrible
Ben's is horrible.. food & prices!
A lie

Coleman's can be inconsistent, but Ben's have them beat by a mile on inconsistency, so Coleman's wins in my book..
