Not a huge upgrade compared to years past, but coming from my 2018 model, which still runs like a champ, I think I will upgrade this year. A little treat for the holidays!

Exactly in the same situation ! My 2018 Ipad pro still runs well but the battery is not as good as before and the mini led makes me want to change for a 2022 Ipad pro
The price is a huge upgrade
so is 2018 model(not the PRO one but other one) still champ for gaming purposes???

Great unboxing video as always. I was planning on upgrading my aging iPad Air 2 with the new Pro. But will ultimately have to pass this year. I want to see an updated Magic Keyboard with the function keys like you mentioned for the Pro and then Apple moving the camera from the portrait position to the landscape position, but I realize that may interfere with the Apple Pencil 2 magnet and charging. I also would like to see Touch ID added to the Pro model as well along with the mini LED screen for the 11" Pro as the 12.9 is already encroaching on 13" laptop territory.
I'd like to see a video on how the new iPad Pro M2 will handle being a laptop replacement on iPad OS vs Mac OS.
Man, I am so unbelievably uninterested in the new iPads and avoided all the videos that came out today. I will still watch your video. Because I like you, the new iPads are still meh.

I would love to see if the iPad 10th generation is able to replace a laptop for an average user that doesn’t need much power to begin with. Especially now that is has the new folio case with a function row and everything.
I think any iPad can replace a computer/ laptop except maybe the mini as long as you don’t try to make it a laptop these are designed for touch and so if you use it as such you will have a much better experience

I have an iPad Pro and it replaces my laptop. I don’t do the editing you do but for me it works great. The Apple keyboard is not as good as the Logitech it’s what a keyboard should be.
honestly i have the ipad pro 12.9 m1 and honestly idk i think im chilling with it not so much if a leap with the m2 but maybe when they add something new

Not only the function keys are nice, like me I wanna take my iPad Pro and use it to write on but then I’m left without a case to protect the back. The folio can protect the back when not in “keyboard mode type…mode”

@@bigsur370 Yeah, I have the combo touch, and it has all the function keys along with a detaching keyboard. Theres also a pretty sturdy case to protect the ipad. Its also only like 160 and totally worth it.

I like the new basic iPads, but, You can get a $30 non-apple pencil from amazon that charges with usb with no need for a dongle…and you can use it while charging. Some even magnetically attach to the air and pro (though it doesn’t charge that way). I wouldn’t waste money on Apple Pencil 1. I’ll wait to see what they do with it. This year seems like money-grabbing by apple with few meaningful upgrades.

I was looking forward to getting an i Pad for university plus general leisure meaning the lack of functions keys on a magic keyboard is a huge let down for me, I love using them on my desktop and I feel lost without them. PEOPLE WHO DON'T USE THEM SHOULD! But this has created a hard choice for me to pick between the pro and the regular or if I should just find a cheaper older model second hand for example. Great video, very helpful. Also I watched Black Adam too and it was great!

You could save alot of money that way. That's how I ended up with my 3rd gen 12.9 a little over a year ago. It's a Cellular 64gb model in mint condition and came with the keyboard case and second generation apple pencil. Got it for $600 and it runs flawlessly. You wouldn't be giving up much over the newer models if you went with a third generation like mine. Or better yet see if you can get a deal on a 4th gen that has the a12z and the better camera setup (not that the cameras matter that much on a tablet). I mean obviously the m series processors are going to be way more future proof, but used tablets are something to consider. I've purchased all three of my ipads that way. Just make sure the seller you buy from is an individual selling THEIR tablet and not someone that's got multiple tablets listed.

@@nameless_dynasty4899 The ipad is just a toy for me. I don't use it for work (Can't run autocad or inventor on a tablet) so 64gb works great for me.

I have the iPad 12.9 pro 2020 I was thinking about going to the 11 pro maybe due to the big size of the 12.9 I bought it for college but going to be graduating and going into a marketing manager so I think the smaller size of the 11 pro for note taking would be easier to carry..... do you have an opinion?

I also got a new iPad today. But I was so disappointed in the new lineup that I went ahead and bought the old version of the pro. Prices in Sweden are ridiculously high on Apple products and the version I got with the M1 chip was priced at 1360$ on sale. With the M2 it would have been 1870$. (iPad Pro 11, 512g, 5G). The magic keyboard is priced at 430$ for the 11 inch and 500$!!!!!! for the 12 inch… The iPhone 14 pro starts at 1500$ 😂

How does the IPad “Pro” not have those function keys but the regular one does?…
I like the bigger screen, but I really like how the ones with a home button look, like I love how my iPad 8 looks, and also I don’t get why someone would get an iPad Pro when you can just get a laptop
I have an iPad Pro (the 2021 12.9 inch) because I’m an art student, so it works well for that and is multifunctional unlike if I brought one of the expensive drawing tablets. In my opinion, it’s a good investment For college students on the go, but otherwise…. Nah. The iPad Air works just as well
Now that apple has the 2 piece keyboard accessory like samesung has had for 2 years. Maybe samsung can make a keyboard stand like the magic keyboard that ipads have had. Samsung needs to make more alternative accessories if they are actually trying to compete cause no one else will do it for them.
If you want the Apple Pencil then go with iPad Air but if not then 9th gen iPad is a better deal than the 10th gen
