Nice to see young people enjoying such a beautiful day on the water. Those small boats look manageable, enjoyable, and economical. In my day, even smaller outboards really guzzled gas. We used to think in terms of gallons per mile not miles per gallon. Love your videos.

Yeah tell your friend if he would get the right Stainless Steel Prop for his boat he can increase his Speed to maybe 5 to 10 MPH more . I would check in on it if I was him or even you don`t know if you have Aluminum or Stainless .
Going to stainless would probably only increase it by 1-2mph on these little boats. His main issue was the way the engine was tilted up and weight.

Yes, there are all kinds of v8 and v6 ski boats that cruise through the canals.

Great videos love your channel. I scored a mid 90s 30 hp Johnson. In the process of getting a way cool 60s 14 ft aluminium V bottom. Fun and fun. I have a 1969 Starcraft offshore but it's hard on gas
I'm keeping my eyes open for another runabout boat. Perhaps an old aluminum one.

I have a 130 super sport Boston whaler with a 30 hp merc. Can spend all day on the water for like 5 bucks in gas.

The ethanol in the gas eats up the fuel lines . It clogs up the fuel filters . It is also corrosive on the carburetors . Boats really need ethanol free fuel .
You are right. But it doesn't really effect mine so much. My boat gets used so often the gas isn't just sitting around. I have black fuel lines instead of the grey ones which are known to break down. I also have fuel injection and not a carburetor.
Overwater Florida is Kevin's newest channel. So new he doesn't even know about it.

Dumb question. Are all of your lights/electronics ran off your battery? Is there any type of alternator setup to keep the battery charged?
My engine has an alternator that keeps my battery charged. My engine also has a pull start incase my battery dies.
I don't know why he wants the women to learn how to dock the boat unless he wants them to take it in the divorce.

I don't use ethanol free because I use the boat so often so it doesn't just sit around.
@@OverlandFlorida same here but still had problems. Mine is a 2005 4 stroke. Age might affect it.
You have a carburetored motor. It’s very important to run non ethanol in carburetored motors. Overland Florida’s motor is fuel injected.
