Controversial garden hack! spray painting Allium flowers - what do you think?

So I have been thinking about this project for a long time and finally got around to it .... picking dead Allium flowers in mid summer and spray painting them in different colours ... originally the idea was to put them in a vase as an attractive dried flowers arrangement but then I thought ... why not ... we like the result ... but what do you think?

You should shake the alliums after they are dried. Then u will get back little seeds to plant to have more aliums

TYPICAL!!!! I’ve had allium seed heads in the conservatory for over 2 years now and never done anything with them. Decided to spruce up the conservatory last week and binned them, now I see this video!!! Talk about bad timing, story of my life.

By the way I do like them but I think I’d have them as stand alone throughout the garden. Deb
