I couldn't find the one near the 3 ways on Sunday either. I'm sure they backfilled the pit with all the top soil from the new MTB track near it. The other ones weren't too bad and I'm surprised to see mines on that northern side. I didn't head down the hill to the small one. Another time 😁
@@adventureswithgrunt Just noticed your video Grant. There’s a lot of history in that area. Pretty much north of ironbark was farm land. My family came over from the UK with the Draper Family (the suburb Draper) and the Leitch family (Leitchs Road) back in about 1860. Even in the 1970’s there were heaps of farms off Bunya Road.
Good to see you out again, During some of my out and about walks I've come across holes with rock pile beside them just like those, but stuff if I can remember where it was, the only areas I can think of was along Narangba road some where, and no, I don't mean where the old quarry was or the old army stores was but may have been near by. I'll remember one day. Thanks for the video by the way..
@@camcarteradventures Hi That army base was across from Torrens road, there's a plaque on the footpath next to a round concrete base that was for a water tank, nothing is said about the army base just about American visit, the only problem is they have now built houses on top of it all. Up the road a bit (going north) there was other army stuff ( remains of buildings) I found years ago, that spot is in between the play ground and the old quarry, So much stuff was buried in that whole area when they thought the Japanese was going to come through, local people have even found WW2 stuff in their buried in their yards.
Awesome Cam, there is a weird structure down in The brook down that way as well, Looks like an old Dam or weir.
Love the videos! Never know what lost history you may come across. Very interesting 👌
Cheers! Thanks for watching.

@@iksexplorationsfollower2588 thanks for watching. I’ve never heard about the Narangba Army Site. I’ll have to look in to it.
