    Very interesting problems being presented. It's helped jog my memory in regards to how things work under the hood. thx for posting it.

    it seems that you miss 2 thing : 1) mac address allocation exist to avoid mac collision, ok it s unlikely, but probability increase if you increase mac change,until a rule is set on locally administred mac. 2) the network stack order, mac is the first point hitting the network, and because its an identifier as per point 1, commonly used to “cache the autorisation “ so that you don t have to gather all profiling info ( coming from upper layer) to apply the good autorisation ! note : i don t push that but common autorisation is vlan … same layer as mac address ;)

    FML. -writes script to ban all random macs. sends link to video to turn it off.
