Not sure why the Legends 2-parter was scrapped since season 9 had THREE filler episodes that accomplished absolutely nothing and didn’t even have The Flash in it. And I think two of them didn’t even have Barry in them. Seriously, Season 9 should have been the season to resolve the entire universe, but they didn’t. The only shows that got resolution, if you can call it that, is Supergirl sort of with the Dreamer episode (a character that has no relevance to any of The Flash characters), and possibly Batwoman with the Red Death arc (done very badly and I didn’t see season 3 so I have no idea how the show ended or what was left in the air). And Arrow had the follow up episode that was very good. But the cliffhanger that was set up for Green Arrow and the Canaries is still not resolved aside from the reference in Armageddon (which didn’t resolve anything), Legends was left hanging aside from the Earth-Prime comic crossover which not everyone read and none of the Legends that were a part of the cliffhanger actually appeared in it, and as far as we know, Barry never saw Supergirl again or Black Lightning again. Ok, rant over.
Budget it was cut by nearly 25% like three weeks into production of season 9, those filler episodes are because they didn't have the money for anything bigger. Budget is determined before production begins and can be slashed by the network at any time

Yeah there’s so many things like the supergirl thing you mentioned at the end. Which also really bugs me they are meant to be friends why not have an audio cameo or reference at the birth of Nora or something “hey Barry ! Kara just called she’s sorry she cloud be her in person off saving the planet again but she wishes you congratulations” also so many villains who just vanish like golden glider, did anyone inform her that her brother and friend became time travellers or that her brother is dead? Because I’m pretty sure they didn’t. The arrowverse has so many weird unresolved cliffhangers the final season of the flash could have done something with it’s a shame. When giggle first cameos he references Oliver sacrifice (made sense at that point we thought the show was earth prime so Oliver’s sacrifice was remaking the universe) but now we know it’s not what was Oliver’s sacrifice on that earth I’m assuming it’s not that impressive as prime Oliver but still. flashpoint should’ve been a three episode event or something to actually reset the timeline and fix everything that was a problem within the arrowverse, even tie in into the orher shows
One plot point that I think was completely forgotten about by everyone except me (I think) is that the Godspeed from Season 7 is still alive the Season 9 one was brought from the past but the Season 7 Godspeed is still alive in a cell somewhere. It seems like even Eric Wallice forgot about that.
Yeah but also that’s one on a long list of characters who are alive and just kind of just disappeared (doesn’t make it excusable but is interesting) Like one I think about is golden glider from season 1 she vanishes and her brother and friend (Snart and Mick) went of and joined the legends and never really returned to the timeline with captain cold dying and heatwave living a normal life secretly. So what happened to her does she know they became time travelers, does she know her own brother is dead, did anyone bother telling her? Seems she didn’t have anyone else out there so is kind of sad when you think about it. And the insane thing is you can do this with so many villains like what about trickster he use to fight flash yearly then just disappeared
Honestly, I really liked Patty so, I wish she stayed around and it still sometimes annoys me when I rewatch bits of the show in Sesson 2 when she leaves lol. I'm not really surprised that the show had a ton of abandoned storylines lol.
Patty's character was ridiculous and immature. She acted like a teenage fan girl towards Barry. Gushing over him. She & Barry's relationship revolved around kissing🤦🤦🤦
Very informative. This explains some of the irregularities and weird/missing stuff In season 3. I think they could have found away to keep the CSI stuff while also keeping Cisco relevant. Glad they kept Joe, sad we lost Patty, Hartley, Gypsy, Julian and Jessie. Would have loved Jay Garrick-Eddie though I like the version we got. They really should have kept around the Rival for Wally to tangle with and I really wish we could have gotten a proper version of the Rogues.

Like it’s never really explained why he sent the message about flashpoint in 2046 or why they can’t trust anyone including him like yes the idea of it being a warning about savatar kind of works and there’s still some issues with that (including the fact that the set up goes nowhere it’s not like there’s a point where the legends trust Barry and it’s a mistake like you would expect (maybe this is more of a legends abandoned story but either way it’s interesting)
The legends one annoys me because Eric knew there was only 13 episodes but did a bunch of filler episodes when he could of easily scrapped that and finished the legends story line I get it they had to give grant a break but they could still have at least one filler episode
It’s a budget thing sadly when the season got shortened the budget also got slashed those 3 nothing filler episodes were done as they literally didn’t have enough budget to do anything else (also why we just don’t see Barry be the flash in any of them they just could afford it) so the legends crossover never would have worked because of that (remember they need to get a lot of actors and pay them as well for the legends crossover) personally I think they should/could have made the red death arc smaller and what you lose there you turn into the legends crossover (as it is kind of weird the final scene of the flash has half of it dedicated to a weird batwoman crossover kind of)
It all came down to money. Their budget for season 9 was substantially less than season 8, THEN, on top of that, just a couple episodes into the season, it was cut even more. They had plans for the final season they thought they would be able to do, and had to quite literally scrap them & rewrite almost entire episodes due to money. The cost of a Legends character to guest star vs a generic guest star was money they just couldnt afford.

Dr. Destiny: If S7 should have had a crossover of ANY KIND, it should have been the finale with Deegan returning as his super-powered alter ego 4. Oh Cold, My Captain: Chillblaine, no. Captain Cold, YES!!! 5. Vibe’s Demise: All the episodes that Cisco wasn’t around for during S7 should have been balled up, postponed till the finale…AND THEN, have Cisco be killed by Godspeed. I think I grew detached from the characters because actual stakes didn’t feel present. I didn’t get worried someone may pass😂
I'm torn on if I'd want the Earth 2 Barry to be Zoom. On the one hand, fits the theme of every earth 1 hero is a villain on earth 2. On the other hand, the Savitar being Future Barry was my favourite twist as it was from my favourite new 52 flash arc and I doubt we'd get that
They should have ended the entire Arrowverse after Crisis. That was such an epic crossover & a perfect finale. Most everything went away shortly afterwards anyway. Had they ended it there, a lot more people would be wanting it to come back years later & they could have put more money into it & decide who/what to bring back & do it right. Instead, we're left with pretty disappointing endings & cancelations.
Out of all the potential that was wasted from most of the Arrowverse getting cancelled, one of them was they didn’t make Lex Luthor president! Even if some people knew how evil he is. Like that matters!!! He didn't even have to appear in the shows, they just have to mention what he did that causes problems that the heroes of each show has to fix. I haven't read the comics but I did research on the President Luthor storyline and Jefferson Pierce was on his cabinet as Secretary of Education, Amanda Waller as the Secretary of Metahuman Affairs, Sam Lane as the Secretary of Defense and Cat Grant as the White House Press Secretary! All of whom are on Earth-Prime! They could just revive Amanda and use the reboot as an explanation! There’s also Frank Rock as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, whom Marc Guggenheim confessed intended to later appear on Legends and there was even an episode showing a soldier implied to be him. As far as him being a good guy, again I never read the comics for me to know about that. However, Jefferson, Sam and Cat (ha!) are and would use their positions to alert the League on his plans.
Lex as president is a really dumb thing that barely worked in the comic. And it's even worse to do here with how bad the Supergirl Tv show was and how they constantly lied about Siena not knowing Kara was Supergirl even though she clearly did back in flipping Season 3 even. For that alone the show of Supergirl and everything about it must be purged from existence. All traces forgotten.

I loved Legends of Tomorrow, but I don't watch even episodes I've purchased anymore because of the way the show ended. I really wish they would have somehow wrapped up the show a little better.
On how Team Flash was structured: I’m glad we got what we got instead of Hartley being in there. Although it would’ve been cool that Barry did a lot more CSI work than he actually did in the real Season 1. With the cancelled Zoom as Earth Two Barry, I think they made up for it with Savitar being Barry. I do wish how Barry became Savitar was explained better though.
Though I don't think this is confirmed its very clear that Nora being sapphic was toned down a lot in season 5 because they realized they shouldn't bury there gays. Because you have the episode early on in the season where she's clearly got a crush on evil tech meta girl then that gets toned down to the point of near nonexistance for the rest of the season and then they bring it back in season 8
What made me the angriest was thry literally set up everything for Caitlin yo become the villain in season 9 and then they just freaking forgot. Lol wut. They squandered everything. So damn much of a waste. Could have gotten full powered Killer Frost Caitlin.

I think that Zoom being earth 2 Barry would have been great. I honestly feel like they wasted Wally and Savitar in season 3. Wally's actor is extremely talented, and I feel like he should have been introduced as Wally West in later seasons. I feel like it was to early for Barry to become a mentor. They should have had Rival be a bigger character, 1 that was to battle Wally only. I would have had Savitar tell Barry that if he interferes with Rival's battle against Wally, then Savitar would kill Iris. Rival could have had some reason to hate Wally, like he lost his girlfriend to Wally, or he wanted to be the Flashes partner but Wally was. If anyone reads this, i recommend ignoring my story ideas above. My work is crazy busy and I am in the middle of finishing my last few months of college. I am on my ADHD medication, 4 cups of coffee (mixed 2 different types because i ran out of my 2 regular types, so mixed whatever was left to create something that should be used to torture prisoners), and bunch of tropical red bull. Using science to identify and exploit the villain's weakness is a keystone feature of the Flash comics, especially so he could avoid using violence. I watched until it became clear that this show was the "Flash" in name only. Kinda like Paul's religion is about Jesus in name only. TBH, I watched for much longer than I wanted. I found this show boring and all over the place, but I kept hoping it would change. NGL, the characters were terrific and the dialogue was outstanding. The acting was largely spot-on as well. I would use this series to exemplify how little plot matters to audiences when you can just hit the emotional beats in time. Good riddance!

Then, when she came back for Superman and Lois, she got caught taping her name over Elizabeth Tulloch’s on her trailer and smiling and saying oh the real star had arrived.

I loved Legends of Tomorrow, but I don't watch even episodes I've purchased anymore because of the way the show ended. I really wish they would have somehow wrapped up the show a little better.
On how Team Flash was structured: I’m glad we got what we got instead of Hartley being in there. Although it would’ve been cool that Barry did a lot more CSI work than he actually did in the real Season 1. With the cancelled Zoom as Earth Two Barry, I think they made up for it with Savitar being Barry. I do wish how Barry became Savitar was explained better though.

Though I don't think this is confirmed its very clear that Nora being sapphic was toned down a lot in season 5 because they realized they shouldn't bury there gays. Because you have the episode early on in the season where she's clearly got a crush on evil tech meta girl then that gets toned down to the point of near nonexistance for the rest of the season and then they bring it back in season 8
What made me the angriest was thry literally set up everything for Caitlin yo become the villain in season 9 and then they just freaking forgot. Lol wut.
They squandered everything.

i wish thye would of payed off reverse flashed orgin story in the future ,they had filler in season 9 and it could of been that showing eorbard in the future doing all his stuff then becoming the flash , then barry pops up and saves the day some how and thats what drives thawne in hating him and or the news paper article flash vanishes in crisis fighting reverse flash him vanishing in that red sky crisis could of been what sent him to the future to be there to steal thawnes save and turn him evil .i think putting a nice little bow on that loop would of been better considering the way they ended it with giving barry that one day in the past with his parents and bringing that moment full circle

I think that Zoom being earth 2 Barry would have been great. I honestly feel like they wasted Wally and Savitar in season 3. Wally's actor is extremely talented, and I feel like he should have been introduced as Wally West in later seasons. I feel like it was to early for Barry to become a mentor.
They should have had Rival be a bigger character, 1 that was to battle Wally only. I would have had Savitar tell Barry that if he interferes with Rival's battle against Wally, then Savitar would kill Iris. Rival could have had some reason to hate Wally, like he lost his girlfriend to Wally, or he wanted to be the Flashes partner but Wally was.
If anyone reads this, i recommend ignoring my story ideas above. My work is crazy busy and I am in the middle of finishing my last few months of college. I am on my ADHD medication, 4 cups of coffee (mixed 2 different types because i ran out of my 2 regular types, so mixed whatever was left to create something that should be used to torture prisoners), and bunch of tropical red bull. Tonight I will get to sleep for the 1st time in 30+ hours, just to repeat the cycle.

Using science to identify and exploit the villain's weakness is a keystone feature of the Flash comics, especially so he could avoid using violence. I watched until it became clear that this show was the "Flash" in name only. Kinda like Paul's religion is about Jesus in name only. TBH, I watched for much longer than I wanted. I found this show boring and all over the place, but I kept hoping it would change. NGL, the characters were terrific and the dialogue was outstanding. The acting was largely spot-on as well. I would use this series to exemplify how little plot matters to audiences when you can just hit the emotional beats in time. Good riddance!
