Agree-that and fantasy stuff. Its also becoming apparent that there are so many abstracted rules that the penalty system is out of control. The game last night had momentum killing fake penalties, really lame stupid ones like the 2 men in motion stuff(who cares) and yada yada yada. Its like basketball where its a foul a minute. Its bad sports, bad watching for public and I was so bored watching the game. The play was bad, the refs were bad and the adverts were bad

It has been six years and you all are still talking about Jones like he is a rookie and just needs time to improve - six years!
He is still having difficult with throwing the ball other than dinks and dunks. Still does not read defense quickly enough and save for one game he has yet to rise to the occasion being 1-13 in prime time and still unable to beat the Cowboys or the Eagles matter of fact often just doesn’t show up.
The Cowboys are not that good but the Giants once again are worse. The Cowboys gave up 72 points in the previous two games - Giants score just 15 with no touchdowns.
The Cowboys allowed close to 450 yards rushing in the previous two games - The Giants had 26 total rushing yards.😂
Carl made a great point saying DJ needs to hit the 3 and it's not like he can't, that Arizona game last year was a great example and one of those was to Hyatt. And to Bob's point Malik was put in a lot of tough spots man, I expect him to come down with those but we are talking about a rookie WR going against and All-Pro Corner on 4th down in the 4th Q. Jones needs to find a way to keep the Giants on the field instead of forcing it. Dallas was so vulnerable last night that I was seething as a fan. DJ had time man and the legs to roll out...he has Malik, Wan'Dale, and Darius. I need him to take these Division wins when we have the chance to. Parson's got handled and Lawrence was a non factor. At some point we have to man tf up! Dak is phenomenal and him having CeeDee makes them so much more dangerous but WHY is Banks relying on a ROOKIE for help over the top?
WR's dropped 3 balls and Jones missed 4 possible touchdowns with poor throws on wide open guys. When did the NFL go to a trophy league for an average effort or nice try fella? After 6 years, it's a joke he's still the starting QB. As a Giants fan since 1976, it's a sad day when y'all are making so many excuses for this coach and QB.

Daniel Jones has thrown interceptions in every game this year. Granted some of them were called back because of penalties. But none the less he threw them in every game this year. Daniel Jones continues to struggle going into year 6 as a starting QB. He continues to struggle with not processing fast enough, hesitating on throws, not being able to throw an accurate deep ball despite having an 0-Line that gives him plenty of time to do so, not being cable of elevating this team, and again, consistently throwing interceptions whether they are called back or not because of penalties. Defenses know what Daniel Jones is going to do before he does it. They have a jump on him because he stares his first read down. It's time to bench Daniel Jones and ride out the rest of the year with Tommy Devito, who in my opinion based on his play is a better QB than Daniel Jones and Drew Lock. That's not to say that Tommy is the longterm solution moving forward, but he seems to be the best option on this team for now. Daniel Jones is holding back Daboll's play calling and holding back the progress of this potentially otherwise explosive offense.

Bob Papa, you are the man love your honest takes, Tiki Barber had an interesting tidbit as to why Dallas looked so stout against the run, and it’s because NYG doesn’t throw to their TE’s, making certain formations and alignments tells that the play is going to be a running play.

He never makes it easy on them. Always a little behind or under thrown. Never a chance for a clean catch and run.
Clearly you don’t watch other QBs. Elite QBs make terrible throws. They aren’t scrutinized because of the final score. Only thing I will say is DJs deep throw accuracy has fallen of drastically since his rookie season

The first game was probably one the worst of his career he looked like Zach Wilson terrible pocket presence while also dirting throws that were 5 to 10 yards you can point to one play I can point to about 5 to 10 every week even on plays that are completions there is often so much meat left on the bone go back and rewatch the games or maybe just watch another qb play. Missed opportunities? This game resembled a big brother little brother wrestling match after big brother comes home after a long tiring day. At no point did i think Giants had a chance to win. At no point did I think the Giants could stop the Cowboys offense if they had to. An odd game from the sense that the score was close but the game was far apart in the Cowboys favor. More common to see a game with the score not indicative of the competitiveness. Any who! Schoen, Daboll, and Jones all have to go. Embrace the full rebuild. Washington is doing it. And they already beat us and will definitely beat us the second time around.

As usual another great show by you Papa and Carl. Carl, my childhood took place beyond the mid 1970s and into the early 1990s so I agree with 100% about not liking the jersey swap/friends to the end mentality of today's modern era NFL player and pro athletes in general after tough competitions.

Between Daniel Jones neck injury and his knee injury he can't put enough power and torque to push off and throw a deep accurate ball. He has a tweak when he releases the football. He won't admit that though the competitive nature in him

Jones is terrible it’s his job as the leader to get the offense in the end zone, and he failed miserably. His deep throws are horrible guys were wide open deep and he couldn’t get the ball to them. Under throw over throw who cares fact is he isn’t delivering the football. And when these guys drop passes in their hands there is no consequence, how about we put Hyatt in and bench someone. And what about the TE why don’t we use him…
Then there is the defense, can’t get the big stop. Can’t get pressure without sending the kitchen sink. Lawrence was double teamed all night and neither of the two ends could get any real pressure.

Jones missed his share of throws, but receivers also messed up. Wan'Dale Robinson blew that sideline catch on their last drive. He jumped too soon instead of running in stride. It could've been a TD to win the game.

On the last play I was questioning why Jones didn’t throw to the player closer to him that was set for the first with a little more room than Nabers. Forced and bad decision.

This one hurts, just 7 straight years. The Maras are gonna start losing people. Most Giant fans are so used to losing to the Cowboys every frikin year that they sell their tickets now anticipating losing...this is starting to get ingrained in the fandom.
Because Giants fans usually quit on there team, gone soft, give up so easily fans have a defeatist mindset. Fans have a losers mentality. MetLife isn't a home field advantage for Giants. The so called fans are part of the problem.
A day to relax after the L and listening to Carl, I feel better. Many thought this would be another blowout, and it was a bonafide close football game. The Giants are nearly real contenders.

Thank you, ive been trying to explain this to everyone. Other teams around the league have established offfenses, personnel and players to where WHEN (even the best QBs) they overthrow or underthrow, its not as big a deal as us missing a pass. Jones has done eveything asked of him. There were alot of factors at play yesterday including running the ball, dropped passes and penalties. Now, im not absolving DJ for his part in the loss, but im not exactly dijected, we were in the game, just needed to play a bit better.

Carl, I understand about a quarterback having to calibrate his throws. But he’s played six years with Slayton. There’s nothing to calibrated at this point or at least there shouldn’t be he should be able to hit those to Slayton with his eyes closed.

We would be 4-0 with Devito as the starter. Dabolls creative play design and well timed play calls are making DJ look serviceable. when in fact hes of backup caliber at best

Devito stinks, he doesn't have Jones arm strength, size, speed or ability. If you ever watched them in drills or practice you would see it easily. That said Jones needs to be better and I'm not sure he ever will be. If it's time to move on it's not Devito.

Giants played a very good game for a short week, I believe a short week goes to the advantage of more talented team which Dallas is.
The Giants in my opinion are spread field and run ball type of team, they can't run out of power against teams like Dallas. The Giants interior are not big bodied guards who can lean and create movement, Giants to draft guys that are built like Dexter and Jordan Riley on the oline, they don't have people movers unless they put Jermaine or Evan Neal on the interior. DJ issues are his pocket footwork, he looks like Duncan Robinson the year he was struggling to shoot for Miami Heat. If you look at the recievers they are unsure where DJ is going place the ball so that is reason for some of the bad routes or missed catches, you can see it they face - alot props to them trying make plays and not popping off on DJ trying make plays.They fed Robinson and Nabers, couple times on runs Singletary and DJ didn't press the whole before bouncing it which caused holding calls, people who play football understand you setup your blocks like Tiki learned do great in his last few yrs. Offense played as good as it could on short week, Daboll needs hold back some of long delayed plays in backfield especially when the defense is not tired. Ny Giants is much improved regardless of fgs, Nabers scored on mismatches in Cleveland.
Giants Defense, I hate the 2dl and 2edge rushers lineup, this front is ineffective. Please put Jordan Riley in game next to DeX Lawerance use Azeez and Burns on edge put Kayvon as thumper mlb with Bobby O or have Burns and Kayvon on edge with Riley and Nunez / Boggie and let Bobby O patrol middle with Shane Belton. The defensive lineup is what is causing people to get run yardage and lack pressure and lane containment. #98 is getting washed out play every game yet he has more snaps than Riley, don't get it. Belton flies around field, gets turnovers and Micah McFadden to me is going be great coach one day because he plays above his talent level but he doesn't have the foot speed which causes missed tackles and chunk plays, he's a short yardage and goaline lb - they got him in space getting exploited every game ( he got great instincts but he can't get to the landmarks ) Give Kayvon props he played very good game, had couple rushes he finally used his hands and got around the edge. Burns has to have more impact because they Giants traded a draft pick and gave him big contract, so they got scheme better and he has bring better effort.
Couple bad calls, but Giants playing more competitive. Coaching got to get better, players have rise up in big moments.

Most of this loss can be attributed to a dysfunctional QB. When you cannot throw a completed pass for over 20 yards or get a TD while within the 20, you are not a professional level QB. So stop all the praise of DJones and face up to the fact that he will never be a champion NFL QB. Yes they didnt have a great running game, but their Oline was good and protected DJ and he still couldnt find the end zone. No amount of verbal bullshit is going to change what is obvious. DJ is NOT a pro level QB.
