I never knew how islam is actually being practiced in turkey. There's some turkish channels on yt but they love malaysian dramas and made videos about it. Usually the turkish people on the comment section would say things like "i like malaysian drama because it respects islam" or "malaysian drama values islam more than turkish drama." I never understand why so i watched some turkish dramas, what i learned is that theres lots of islamic speeches but then there's kissing and alcohol involved. So i was like they must be non muslim actors/actresses. However it turns out they are muslims anyway, but don't actually practice it. Turkey is definitely not similar to malaysia at all when it comes to islam. In malaysia islam is the official religion but there's many other religions and races. However muslims actors/actresses still followed the teachings and rules, the only physical things u could see in malaysian dramas would usually be touching hands or maybe a hug but that scenes usually done by actresses that do not wear hijab. For drinking scene it's just colored drinks. If there are scenes that the audiences deemed to be too much or extreme (for example wearing a bikini scene, or actor/actress physical scene is too over the top) usually it will get viral. There'll be lots of talking amongst netizens when that sort of scene added to a drama or film. Also yes, all malaysian dramas (with malay actors/actresses) the chemistry still works just fine without kissing or sex scenes. There's nothing wrong with "conservative" dramas.
Year i think turkey is not muslim law,so t is common in higher class people may to things islam prohibited, like other countries out side marriage sex is not also a offence
I have lived in Turkey for 2years. It's a country which I'd visit whenever I could. Btw there are 4 types of Islam & the strictest of them all is shariaah which I can't imagine being practised in my favourite beautiful land
After watching quite a few Turkish dramas Iam quite surprised to see the acceptance of adultery and intimacy in most dramas by the Turkish audience. The female actors wear revealing ultra modern and very short costumes. The main male character flirts and sleeps with different women. Married or not. Like in Ask I memnu. Morality is at low level.
Why does it matter? Does religion have anything to do with their acting skills? Does being a Christian, a Muslim, a Jew, a Buddhist make you a better person or a better actor? As someone who comes from a Christian-Muslim-Jewish (I don't feel like a Christian nor as a Jew nor as a Muslim, my closest understanding of life is Buddhism, although I'm not religious at all), I can say that this labeling is heavy nonsense.

PILLARS OF ISLAM 1. Give two sentences creed. ( Kalimah Syahadah ) 2. Perform prayers five times a day last night. 3. Zakat. 4. Fasting in Ramadaan. 5. Perform Hajj for those who can afford. PILLARS OF FAITH 1. Faith in GOD 2. Faith in the angels of GOD 3. The faith of the Scriptures of GOD 4. The faith of the Apostles of GOD 5. The faith of the doomsday 6. Faith in Qada and Qadar

Turkey is very much liberal. Most of them identify themselves as Muslims but they hardly follow it. Historically their culture was way different than Islam. It's not like those islam what we see in Pakistan or Palestine. Turks have very much moderate & liberalised, non extreme, secular culture. Mostly have adopted to western cultures.
@@asingha94 In a comment a turk said they are Muslims because their parents are muslim They are muslim just by name and not practice islamic rules this hits my heart and i understand it deeply
Oh, and as for Turks being religious or not: Well, those in the West as well as those in Turkey used to be less religious, but seem to have returned to being somewhat more religious again. However, it is upto each individual whether Islamic rules are adhered to or not. Some might drink alcohol, but still perform their daily prayers. Others might have pre-marital relations, but still pray and fast during Ramadan or even perform the pilgrimage to Makkah. Women might wear revealing clothes, but not miss a single prayer. Don't judge a book by its cover. Basically, the extent of a person's piety in Islam is what that person makes of the framework given by Islam.
Sometimes we really have to judge a book by it's cover. U can't be a true Muslim and drink alcohol, not fast during Ramadan, dress scantily etc. Islam has strict rulings about such acts. By in the end, I pray to Allah to guide them to the right path.

@@profw.a.wimalaweera6328 my Turkish friends said that in Turkey they don't practise shariaah like those in Malaysia
I have lived in Turkey for 2years. It's a country which I'd visit whenever I could. Btw there are 4 types of Islam & the strictest of them all is shariaah which I can't imagine being practised in my favourite beautiful land
Turkey is a secular country not run by religon but by laws.
Masyaallah....I hope all of them practicing well in Islam💚🕋..amin...
Why does it matter? Does religion have anything to do with their acting skills? Does being a Christian, a Muslim, a Jew, a Buddhist make you a better person or a better actor? As someone who comes from a Christian-Muslim-Jewish (I don't feel like a Christian nor as a Jew nor as a Muslim, my closest understanding of life is Buddhism, although I'm not religious at all), I can say that this labeling is heavy nonsense.
perhaps it doesnt have to matter, and i dont think it matters. but it's interesting to know of their individual affiliation. Just like how people be interested to know biography of celebs e.g which neighbourhood they grow up in, which college they go to etc. why is it only when it comes to religion, it need be met with such meh comments like yours? chill. you can always skip if you dont like it.
@@mono9196 Religion is very intimate, a personal matter and cannot be compared to information about someone's education or neighborhood. Apropos my comment, I wouldn't skip clips like this at any cost! I cannot resist reading the hypocritical messages of those who, in the name of God, instead of love and tolerance, leave here comments about “beautiful Christians who stand out among Muslims” and vice versa. In addition, Turkiye is a country where over 90% of the population is Muslim by birth, so why this declaration? These people are from traditionalist Muslim families, and only they know whether they are believers / religious or not. And I'm totally chill’n’passive, listenin’ to Marley and Attack Massive, you’d rather worry about these horny ones spitting at each other in the name of God, they need relaxation much more. peace/love/truth
You're absolutely right!...
Sorry to break your bubble but terrorism has one religion and in the name of A**** they are openly killing and beheading people.
Yes it does matter thats why ur program show turkish actors who are muslims 😁. Muslim love 2 be known 😁 why they dont show turkish actors who are Christian or jews or non believer 😊. Be smart 🧠.

I understand that almost all Muslim countries consider Islam as a national religion, hence when you are born there, you are considered Muslim by law. However, a number of the population no longer strictly adheres to Islamic practices and rites due to Western influence and their tolerance thereof.
Türkiye is not an Islamic country, it is a secular country. After the age of 18, you can register any religion you want on your ID. These people have become Muslims by their own choice, why does it bother you?
You made Meryem Uzerli a Muslim while Mina Tugay a Christian? A big blunder, Mina is Muslim while Meryem is Christian.

Secularism is not a religion. Secularism is a system of administration that completely separates religion and state affairs. So, people become muslim, christian, or a member of other religions.

What is the point of this video? To say that most Turkish actors are Muslim? So what? There is enough division in the world. We don't need to point out differences. Anyway, for more than half these people it is hard to imagine them in prayerful mode never mind seeing them pray five times a day or meet any of the other pillars of Islam. Except perhaps giving alms to the poor as that serves as publicity as well.
you're right they live in a secular place and mostly only post islamic stuff for occasions like ramadan or eid

I see comments that criticize Turks here, every country has a different culture, this is not westernization, unfortunately many Muslim countries think that Arab culture is Muslim, look at Turkish countries (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan) Turkish culture + Islamic culture are intertwined.

@@habibaaminu5830 It does not make them disbelievers, either. There are clear rulings on this matter.
