Thank you for your comment. Indeed you can use finer clear beading thread. I’ve used these when I do thread embroidery and use beads to embellish. However, since most transparent threads are plastic based it’s had to start and finish. Making knots is a challenge. For large beading projects (like the Peranakan shoes and this) I find using white and black threads (depending on the bead color and look you want) easier to work with.
Hi, thank you for your question. I used size 11 needles, the brand I found that works is called Pony (available in Asia). I use these needles for thread painting and find that they are also the right size for the beads in this kit. There are also other beading needles that you buy in your local craft shop. I’ve used other types of needles too. The next video I plan to upload on stumpwork shows me using another needle type.

Thank you 😊

Great video Risa! Do you use the gloss artist varnish or matt?
I used gloss
Why do they use white thread? Wouldn't clear thread make more sense?

Hi, could I ask what size needle you would recommend for the smaller beads?

@@RisasEmbroideryChest Thank you! Now I know what to order :)
What brand of artist varnish did you use?
You can use any artist varnish with matt or gloss finish.
I can’t find size 11 sewing needles, where do you suggest I get them?
Try the online store Lazada if you can’t find them on Amazon.
Or Spotlight. It’s a Singaporean online store that may ship round the world.
