Ahrex - GG Muddler - tied by Morten Coastfly

US flytyer Gunnar Brammers nice little Soft Hackle Muddler is the inspiration behind this Grumpy Grizzly Muddler. Or just GG Muddler, as Morten Coastfly calls his bid on an effective baitfish-pattern with the benefits from a muddlerhead. Imitating baitfish with large and wide heads can be done by using deer-hair, and it can be super effective for getting the attention of predators in both fresh- and saltwater. If the fish can't see the fly, they definitely can feel the movement in the water. Just don't pack the head of deer-hair too tight. Otherwise it will be difficult to get the fly down from the surface.
