2:56 That's Graham Button. A top bloke and a very skilled operator. A long career in Tv prior to then and after. I think he went on to CH. 10. He trained me in my first TV job in that very room. That's a 2 Inch Commercial Cart machine. It got jammed sometimes and you had to run and try to unjam it before the next commercial was due on. haha lots of fun. Good memories. (not sure who the guy is in front. But it looks like he's putting on a show for the camera because has no idea what he's doing haha).

Do you have any more station closedowns? That's a rare find that GMV-6 closedown from the early hours of January 1st 1981.
I found this very interesting as well, I remember seeing a lot of these people that were on air at the time. The guy with the glasses that this the boat advert I cant remember his name. I do remember one time the old guy doing something live to camera as they did and he started coughing and had to cut to something else, it would have been early 80's
Just wondering... was it a licence requirement that all TV stations play the national anthem before closing down for the night, or is just something most (all?) Australian TV stations did of their own accord?
The Goodnight theme sounds like the infamous ripoff of TAWOG titled Miracle Star
