Safety was coming in that direction, he throws it, ball would be down at the 20 maybe the 15, instead he runs and gets to the 7 yard line, He knows he has speed, in the end it was a good call.
Johnny started off with a little high school team. Then, he was a new, player, to the best collage football team, Texas A&M. And now, he is on the best, NFL team...The Browns. Thank you Johnny! You were the best Aggie player out there! You were from, the home of the 12th Man! You made Texas A&M, the Son of Cleveland a Browns!! Thank you!
As a quarterback you're supposed to think run first. I'm a quarterback myself and my coaches tell me all the time. If you see green run. Even if a guys wide open.
David Lee depends what level of football you're at, my college coaches would've ripped me apart if I scrambled for some yards instead of hitting a faster slot receiver that was open...in highschool though, I made a living off of what you said
true but i suppose that only works well on the highschool level but with each level it is different as casey says. Manziel still played like this even in college i believe. He's explosive and makes exciting plays but we'll see how he uses that speed and increases his vision to throw to an open wr in the nfl.
Jay Xiong plus you have to think of his mindset going into this, in all star game you're trying to make as many plays as you can to show what you can do against other talented players, that's what they're for...it's not like that was his buddy that he sees every day in school running down the field wide open
LMAO. Pause at 2:39... If Manziel puts that ball ANYWHERE NEAR the receiver frantically waving his arms, that is a touch down... instead, he risks injury for what amounted to a 25-30 yard gain... Instead they turn the ball over(Possibly a pick, as evidenced by them still having 70 with 40 seconds left to go.) This is why Browns fans should be worried, if you refuse to throw to wide open receivers/don't see them, then you're going to have a bad time and wind up hurt.
that definetely wouldn't have been a touchdown. there was a defender flying down the field at him and he was basically standing with no momentum whatsoever.
I don't think Browns fans should be worried at all... Any QB that decides to throw to a wide open LINEMAN is retarted. The guy frantically waving his hands was number 99, and obviously not a Wide Receiver. Even if he was eligible to catch it. He'd have to loft it so the lineman wouldn't drop it. Which is something you can't risk when their safety is charging towards that guy.
I'm mad late on this response, but I got irritated looking at people post that the wide open player was an ineligible receiver. Here are some eye opening things! For one, #99 is a defensive number, not O-Line. Second, 90#s are also used as TE/DE player who plays both ways. Third, this is an all-star game nobody knows what numbers are allowed for what position, many wear their favorite number,or high school number. Last but not least, and if you payed attention, it will show you what #99 was allowed to do! If you look at the play, #99 is not playing on the line in this field goal attempt. He's actually playing the gunner position, which on broken plays, makes him an eligible receiver. The two ends on both sides are the only eligible people blocking, who can go down field. If he wasn't eligible, there would of been a flag thrown for ineligible man...which there wasn't! Yet again this is an all-star highschool game and Manziel was just being a ball bog..IMO!!!?
KrispyGaming yea true but i think you think this is madden. He was good but he would have to dart that thing while running. Coulvde been he just got tunnel vision or he was looking at the people on the right.
Jay J yeah, and I know it was an all-star game, but on 4th down why risk an incomplete pass if you can get the first down yourself? That defender was closing in fast on the receiver -- so JF made it as far as the receiver would have without the risk of having an incomplete pass.
That guy wasn't a receiver on 2:39, well at least I'm presuming by his 99 number and the fact that he probably ran down field without knowing the fake. It's easy for us to say but literally in that split second Manziel knew he could run it; and so, he did.
High school players are generally like college players in the fact that you can wear any number regardless of position. See him waving his hand? He was an open receiver ready for an easy TD. Manziel just made the poor play.
B0SSNINE absolutely I see what you're saying, I just finished playing high school football in missouri and numbers did in fact count, I'm sure you've heard of the term "ineligible player" due to numbers, we had a tight end that had to change his jersey to be on O-Line every game. I'm just saying that guy really did look like a center, as he fashioned a towel, and in my opinion just didn't look like a receiver. I don't think he made a poor play, as either way he did end up with a first down and huge gain; and possibly even more so a bigger gain than if the "receiver" had made the reception. It's okay to be selfish sometimes, everybody likes to point flaws at players for the most stupid shit, when in fact we could never do what they do.
***** Yeah, I understand you couldn't do that. It's just that when I played in high school and college anyone could pick any number. And yeah, I agree that what Manziel does is pretty easy for any basic high school player.
What about Colt McCoy? Bring back Colt McCoy. Everyone used to always talk about Colt McCoy. Colt McCoy this and Colt McCoy that. They liked to just say the name Colt McCoy. Colt McCoy. Colt McCoy. Colt McCoy. And just like that guy this latest guy will be an afterthought in no time. What really matters is what's Darva Conger been up to.
i love Johnny football, i think he was innocent if he did something wrong.. p.s i think he should start 4 the pats!!!!!? he would be better then tom brady
AShipofSeamen Lol. What probably happened is that the measurements weren't too accurate in high school compared to college however, I like the shrinking theory better.
its because he's the greatest QB to ever play in College, in the history of College QBs, in my opinion and many others... The hype comes without question, even more now that he is NFL bound!
On the fake punt he had a guy wide open for what would have been an easy TD, why not throw it? I know the pass can be dropped, but in the NFL with his lack of speed he is going to need to throw the ball more.
Well yeah Tivy isn't that great aside from when he was there even then only sorta in the years he played there. Lake Travis for the most part was the most dominate if not one of in those four years and went virtually undefeated in all but two years in '07 15-1 then 16-0 in '08 and '09 and 14-2 in '10 vs Tivy who in '07 and '10 were only 10-2 and 12-3 in '08 and 9-5 in '09 I think the records speak for themselves there
MrFALLENHER0 he would make fun of many of the kids at school, he would go out and get drunk and high at a party place called Criders, and he even had forged licenses f he got pulled over
CazSnap then who is? cause it's not mariota, bridgewater or jameis Winston. don't even bring up bortles, carr or lynch for that matter and a McCarron shouldn't even be mention he's a joke. so tell us who is the best qb in cfb casue manziel does it better then all of them his numbers speak for himself and his defense is shit along with the talent with only mike evans who in reality isn't enough support no run game and plays in the SEC without him a&m is and will be garbage and that's why he left he rather go to a team like the Texans with multiple talents on offense & defense and since the afc is a weak conf it'll be a ballpark against teams like the bills, raiders, jets, steelers, ravens, titans & more lol
My left ear enjoyed this video
For real though 😂
Yeah I was literally gonna downs this shot and put the setting to even Left and right. This shit pissed me off.
2:39 Wide open receiver
Safety was coming in that direction, he throws it, ball would be down at the 20 maybe the 15, instead he runs and gets to the 7 yard line, He knows he has speed, in the end it was a good call.
Typical selfish manziel ! Early Texas coke was cookin him ! 😂
Beast!!
My left ear enjoyed this
so I guess there's a BIG difference between high school and NFL football.
CFL too!
Johnny started off with a little high school team. Then, he was a new, player, to the best collage football team, Texas A&M. And now, he is on the best, NFL team...The Browns. Thank you Johnny! +Jase 58 you're joking right?
Yes I was joking.
@@stretchy1016this didn’t age well
this is some type of all star game though
he was averaging 5 touchdowns a game in highschool? LOL and the longhorns didn't offer him a scholarship the place he wanted to go.. HILARIOUS
I Wish Too Be Just Like Manziel.
For football or for a person?
Fabian Football
He had a guy way open at 2:40 and couldve gotten a easy td. Smh i think he still plays the same way and just runs first.
As a quarterback you're supposed to think run first. I'm a quarterback myself and my coaches tell me all the time. If you see green run. Even if a guys wide open.

David Lee If you notice the best quarterbacks stays in the pocket. You can run and scramble all you want but you will end up like RJ3.
His height says 6'1 but really he's not
He shrunk!
He’s gonna lit it up at Texas a&m ..
2:00 is the highlight of his nfl career
A great run? 😂
ya right 6'1 lol
fuck johnny football
With his cleats on lmaoo
GamingCentralTV1 hes 6'0
rider capper 5'11" at combine
Which is weird he keeps shrinking... They gave him 6'1 to make him look better to the scouts
Manziel 6'1" tall? That's a good one.
195 pounds too…

Smh he was in high school then. If you've watched him at all, his play-style has completely changed since he turned pro.
that definetely wouldn't have been a touchdown. there was a defender flying down the field at him and he was basically standing with no momentum whatsoever.
If he threw he would have less yards gain . Better that he ran on that play .
I don't think Browns fans should be worried at all... Any QB that decides to throw to a wide open LINEMAN is retarted. The guy frantically waving his hands was number 99, and obviously not a Wide Receiver.

@@banethewolf3486aged well
In college, he could win the Heisman, I predict.
***** lol ikr hes clueless
***** Mark my words...
Dexter Haven he already won it. in fact he plays in the NFL for the browns
wow OK, I'll check him out this year then. Hope he starts…. Tom Brady can't run...
***** You're hateful, not funny, though. The hair is '70s style...

Ryan Prysny in the NFL....

im saying you realize how big of a deal it is to be a back up QB in the NFL, you act as if hes a 3rd string kicker
Salih Saritoprak lol 😂
Yeah that guy at 2:39 was a lineman because his number was 99
Throw back
lmao at that panini commercial
i hate when a football team doesnt have the same color helmets get the same color youre a team
it was essentailly a highschool all-star game, they were representing their respective highschools with their helmets.
ok thanks i was out of line saying that thanks again for pointing that out
That guy wasn't a receiver on 2:39, well at least I'm presuming by his 99 number and the fact that he probably ran down field without knowing the fake. It's easy for us to say but literally in that split second Manziel knew he could run it; and so, he did.

Fabian Lopez lol its Tight end
Johnny Manziel reminds me of Michael Vick!!!
They listed him at 6'1 cLOl hes like 5'9 then
That's my visor he's wearing #Realshit
Never knew you can ball hog in football
would you throw it to a lineman down the field on fourth down?
DCUNIVERSEVLOG thats not even legal lol its called eligible recievers, lineman are not eligible recievers
Austin C it depends on what formation your in if your in a certain formation a tackle could catch the ball
If you are crushing a team people throw to linemen sometimes we were going against norock and we were 70-0 so we gave the ball to the center sometimes
your not even allowed to throw to linemen
Is this like highschool pro bowl or something they have different helmets
Yep
He blocked like a lineman too
Ryan Leaf 2.0

looks like he missed that PAT
that was a 40 yard fake field goal...
195lbs? 6'1? wtf

Johnny Manziel is like 5'9...lol at 6'2
But you're also right

Glen Quagmire youre a complete idiot. thats a linemen with #99.

+Jared Olsgaard hahahahahaha
+Fussball Meister I currently play for a community college in Minnesota just trying to get my name out to big schools

becourse he is the most fun to watch obviously. look at his total yards, have the sec record from his freshman year.
Because he's a white quaterback with the swagg of a black man, simple..
Because he is the first freshman to win the heisman and because he is good
Exactly
Those are the ugliest jerseys ive ever seen
