As a medical professional, I find this mod absolutely amazing for non-medical people to play with to start to understand biology in a fun, novel way! Great job!
I think a clear next update is Bone and Bone Marrow, so you can have minuscule red blood cell production, to help the organisms refill blood after blood loss. Possibly have it know how much blood is around it in a small radius so it doesn't fill the arteries 100% and cause clogging? The next step after that I'd think is to add lymph nodes, so white blood cells have simple highways that they practically teleport from one end to the other, to make the immune system more effective.

Idk if you'll read this but after some testing with this version of the mod ive ran into issues with blood overlapping on top of lungs and then resulting in Dead Tissue forming after multiple overlaps. For some reason blood is able to pass through lung pixels, pool on the bottom of my lung containers and kill the lung at the bottom by sliding around on it. I've seen Lung at 150 Health instantly turn to Dead Tissue from this. This isnt an issue with the lung walls being too thin either, not matter how thick its an issue.

Or make an element called trch or trac (trachea) that can extract co2 from the lungs and shoot it out. It could also extract oxygen from the air.

What other things do you expect to expand off or add. Other than a heart you've got every major organ system, even if simplified. Perhaps a liver.
