Absolutely love all of these. I'm such a fan of classic/vintage Christmas imagery. Also, don't feel bad, my Mum literally fell asleep while working on a project and woke up with her fingers dipped into her resin cup 🤦🏻♀️ Thankfully, she woke up fairly quickly and nothing had set.
I’d never seen doing decoupage that way. I’m changing Christmas at my house this year, first time in 17 years, and going for craft shows, starting in the spring. I got a lot of helpful ideas from this. Excellent videos. Couldn’t pick a favorite!
I’m so glad you found some helpful ideas here! I'll release a video once a week and hope you'll join me for more. Good luck in your craft show journey!
Just this morning I was painting an Atlas Jar and instead of sticking my hand in the jar to pick it up and paint the outside I stuck my hand in my DIY paint 😂😊. It's all part of the fun.
I love decoupage especially using the iron on method and yes I am a clutsy crafter. I once burned my hand so badly that it took weeks for it to heal. Please keep the decoupage videos coming. Thank you for sharing your talent. It is truly appreciated.
Finally...someone who doesn't have awful music and crazy laughter (looney bin type) but cute fun comments. Your work is so inspiring and beautiful! Such fun to watch and get excited to do them also. But can't get the gilding foil right now...3:00 in the morning!
Just scolling thru UA-cam videos this morning and this video happened to be in my feed and i'm so glad it did! I love all of these items but if i absolutely had to choose just one it would be the canvas ornaments with the foiling! I've never worked with foil even though i somehow ended up with some in my Cricut supplies (probably included in one of the mystery boxes i have purchased). I do scroll through Temu and they do have some very beautiful papers and they are so much cheaper than actual decoupage paper, rice paper, etc. I still love my TDS brand papers and will stay loyal to Brandi and her brand of products but sometimes I see papers and some other products on Temu that I just can't pass on. Thanks for sharing this video with us, i can't wait to watch your other videos and hopefully future ones!
I am decoupaging, using the heat method, fence pieces cut into 8 in plaques and thin balsa wood 4 by 6 signs. Oh and I forgot and balsa wood bookmarks. I am using napkins or scrapbook paper. These are for the residents of a nursing home. I usually hate using decoupage glue until I learned about the heat method! My home iron was old and the Teflon coating was flaking off. So I got a rowenta travel iron for under $35. I thought it was a good medium price for a quality product. It has a stainless ironing plate, so no Teflon to flake off.
We're the same - the older method was so messy and troublesome. I really do like the heat method and it sounds like you got a good deal on that iron. I hope the fence pieces and bookmarks turn out wonderfully for you.
You probably wouldn’t believe it, but “real artists” do some of these same things that you call winging it, and often have dirty fingers from smoothing and smudging their artwork! They may sometimes have a more discriminating eye for perspective or dimensional shading, but a lot of art is very much just making the end result look how you want. These are beautiful!
The reason gilding sheets seem to move even without a fan is static electricity. If you get some static on your brush it will ease that. Rub the brush in your hair. I know…sounds bizarre, but it really works
Thank you. And yes, I go back and forth with the decoupage. When it goes well, I love it. When it doesn't, I "forget" about it. LOL Thank you so much for watching.
Love your video. I'm a first timer. I don't know if you know it but all of those gold flakes that are left can be put in a jar and still used on other projects. Have subscribed. Will wait for more videos.
Thank you for the tip - I'll have to do that! Right now, I'm just pulling them off my shirt, out of my hair, etc. Haha Thank you so much for subscribing! :)
The prints you used are beautiful. I love the colors. You did a really nice job with these, I need to try and decoupage something using the ironing technique.
Thank you so much. And yes, try it. I really don't like the burning technique (well, my attorney doesn't) but this is so much easier to get perfectly flat.
Oh I'll get that for you - so sorry, I will try to do that next time. Here is what I got: share.temu.com/UAizEJREZjA If they run out of that stock, search "vintage Christmas decoupage paper" and another seller might come up!
Wonderful projects! Yes, the last two are beautiful. I really like the coasters, too. Are they hardy enough for a drink that might have condensation? YT popped you up for me. I really like your style , so I'm a new subscriber. 😊🎅 ~Laura, Washington state 🌲
Yes, we've used them as coasters but mostly just for different holidays. I don't know how they would hold up with all year round. Thank you so much for watching and subscribing to my new little channel. Missing Washington state (we moved to Texas from WA and are melting). :)
When I learned decoupage, I learned to use parchment paper so I grab it out of the kitchen. :) Thank you so much for the sweet words and I hope to see you at the next video.
Thanks for posting these! I love them! I do have a question though. What would you call the theme or style of the photos you got from Temu? I am very new to creating with ai but would like to see if I can create something similar. Thanks! 🖤
You can create images using anything AI-related. Here is a free one copilot.microsoft.com/images/create To do it, just create the image, print it on copy paper, and decoupage with it. If you need the edges very fine (like a napkin), you can tape a piece of white tissue paper to a piece of printer paper and print it that way (ink jet printer). You could also use scrapbook paper for thicker paper pieces, too.
You can absolutely use scrapbook paper! Some of the very thick stuff, you'll want to lay down a bit more ModPodge than I did on the coasters/snow globe.
I am loving your new page/video's. But I have noticed that a lot of people are talking like you did about Temu, (but I'm really not sure what it's all about)? But thank you so much for all you share 💚☃❤ P.S. If anyone can share where I can see what's going on if it's that important, if not just tell me "pass"? Thanks again
I'm not sure how much I can write about it, to be honest. Some searching will give you some major concerns (the big ones: importing problems, liability for sellers, and even some issues with charges).

You are very creative. I love your choices of paper. Thanks for sharing your time & talents with me. 💜

Ooh, I'd love to see them when you're done!
@@berryandpineyes, please share!
It's too difficult to pick a favorite because I love all of them. I think the best part of your videos is YOU!! You make me chuckle 🤭
Aw, Kim, I'm just glad you had a good time with this one! :) Thank you!!!
Awesome diys
I'm currently decoupageing multiple cheap boxes and small crates.
I have Cardinals and Angels. This is my first time 😮❤
I love all of them all. This was an excellent video. I really enjoyed it. ☮️🌎🌲
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Jennie :) Thank you for coming over to this channel and watching.
Love them all, snowman is my favorite though. I'm clumsy in general, and a perfectionist, great combination. Lol! 😁✝️💖🇺🇸
Oh yes, I feel ya, I am just as clumsy and can definitely focus on getting things 'just right.' LOL 😬
I’m decopauging trays as gifts to put goody’s on them
Oh, trays are the best finds! I always look at the thrift stores for the big ones.

The canvases with building! I love playing with “leaf”. (Yes, it is definitely messy) it looks so good after it’s done 🥰
I'm definitely going to need some more practice and now want to gild ALL the things! LOL
I'm so clutsy that I once super glued my hand to my glue gun
Oh my goodness, I've done that (yet). LOL
Well bless you! Be careful! 😂😂😂 I'm so sorry, but that's funny.
Beautiful. Wonderful ideas for gifts.
They are all beautiful, but I absolutely love the snowman.
Me, too - there's something so calming about the images that I had to use the snowman. Thank you so much for watching. :)
I love all of them! I'm new to the channel, but absolutely love everything I've seen so far 😊
Thank you so much for your sweet words, and I hope to see you in the next video. I LOVE holiday crafting, so there will be so much more coming.
The coasters are my favorite. 💜💜💜
Hi berry and pine
I loved them all. I decoupage as well and love it. Great job!

Those ornaments are beautiful ❤
Thank you so much! They're perfect images for vintage Christmas ornaments, right?
These are so beautiful! 🤎
I love decoupage projects.
So fun, & the ideas are endless 😊
Thank you! I agree, decoupage is so much fun and it's also really forgiving so we don't have to be perfect. ;)

The Snow globe 😊❤
I love the snow globe, too! I am keeping my eye out for more of those forms from the dollar tree.

I'm decoupaging bars of soap (for decoration only)
Oh wow, that is very cool.
Klutzy in life. Beautiful and I so enjoy decoupage. The extra foil pieces can you collect and reuse?
Yes you can (apparently, I'm no expert). LOL But I did pick up some of the pieces and use them on the berries, so I think so. I can't wait to do more.
Great video

Oh, thank you! And yes, I definitely have a channel full of gnomes but didn't want to bother everyone with my Christmas craft obsession. :)

It's on Temu - if you search "vintage Christmas" it should come up. There are a lot of different ones.
I'm new to decoupage, did you use wax paper or parchment paper? These were all beautiful and I want to try. Thank you for sharing!🎄🎄🎄
Thanks! 🖤
These were under "vintage Christmas" - I put the link in the comments below (I'm on mobile and can't grab it right now).
Thank you! I already tried doing something similar on ai but they didn’t come out exactly as I had hoped but they are nice!
What was the alternative to print similar images to those Temu pictures you mentioned?
You can create images using anything AI-related. Here is a free one copilot.microsoft.com/images/create
To do it, just create the image, print it on copy paper, and decoupage with it. If you need the edges very fine (like a napkin), you can tape a piece of white tissue paper to a piece of printer paper and print it that way (ink jet printer).
You could also use scrapbook paper for thicker paper pieces, too.
Is that regular waxed paper you use over the piece for the cricut mini press or parchment?
Oh, I'm sorry - I thought I said. It's just regular parchment paper. I think the wax would melt on it due to the high heat?
@@SarahNenniDaher Thanks so much! I may have missed that! Definitely want to try that technique!
😂 I'm clumsy with Everything in general 🥴
How do you do a gift bag picture on a canvas where it doesn’t come off
Oh, I haven't done that. I would have to say you might need to reinforce the ModPodge with hot glue around the edges at least.
Could I use scrap book paper?
You can absolutely use scrapbook paper! Some of the very thick stuff, you'll want to lay down a bit more ModPodge than I did on the coasters/snow globe.
