    Pretty gutsy making those master cuts in the frame! As far as overall length of the vehicle, you may check with the DMV to see where the border line between truck vs: pickup lies. There may be significant taxes and structural requirements for a truck vs: a pickup.
    Got a name for this vehicle? Propose calling it "Frankentruck"? Maybe a naming contest from your viewers is in order!

      It started out at 26 feet, now it’s 11 feet plus the length of the cab. I reckon it’s shorter than any one ton duellie but arguably heavier built. As far as registering, I only have a bill-of-sale as it didn’t have a title and I think registration uses the VIN number that the cab came with. Just for fun though, these fire trucks didn’t have a VIN, just a registration number from the factory. I expect entertaining and instructional meetings at the tag office.
