Nice segment. Good to balance out all that "choked" nonsense. Stewart is a class act and doesn't deserve those hits - she deserves this praise. Thank you.

Record attendance in Brooklyn 18 thousand plus fans. Two things make that very impressive. Competing against the NFL. And unlike Indiana. Consumers have far more things that they could be spending their money on in NYC. Such as museum's, shopping, restaurants, other forms of entertainment. So hopefully this put to bed that no one cares about the WNBA if you know who isn't playing!

Game 2 attendance of 18,046, and Game 1 was reported by the WNBA as being sold out with an attendance of 17,732, come to think about it, that number is 314 fewer than Game 2, so how does that work - more free tickets were being handed out, bigger ticket discounts needed to sell out the game?
ESPN PRESS ROOM Oct 10, 2024
Most-viewed WNBA Playoffs In 25 Years Across All Platforms and averaged 970,000,000 across 17 playoff games (16,490,000,000) - "Clark inflated"
That reads very well, but if you take out just two games (6,140,000) then the number drops down to 10,350,000 or an average of 690,133,333, which is 280,000 fewer views.
(one game peaked at 3,400,000 views) (the other drew 1,800,000 with a 3 pm start, on NFL Monday Sunday)
The WNBA semi-finals averaged 850,000 over 9 games on ESPN Networks - best numbers on ESPN in 25 years, those numbers read well, that is until you look at the regular season - playoff games usually draw more views.
The WNBA averaged 1,220,000 for regular season games on ESPN Networks or - 370,000 more views for each game, drawing more than the semi-final games.

The record for the most attendance is 20,366 and it was Clark, and nothing to do with NY, the away game's highest was 20,711, which was Clark again and not NY.
It's too funny, that a city with a population of 8,097,282 for a Finals Game can not even fill a basketball arena with their fans, and has to give away tickets and discount tickets to try and get the NY version of a "soldout game"
So it seems that NY is "spending their dollars on in NYC. Especially on a nice weather day. Museums, shopping, restaurants, etc" and not going to see the Liberty Play.
Clark put 17,035 people in the seats for 20 games, and NY can only put in 12,729 in home games and their best seat count of 17,758 was because of Clark,
As of 2024, New York State's population stands at 19.57 million, with New York City alone accounting for approximately 8,097,282 residents
As of 2024, Indiana's population stands at 6.62 million, with Indianapolis alone accounting for approximately 888,578 residents

The WNBA can thank Caitlin Clark for their record finals numbers. Clark brought the fans, and now some of them are invested enough to keep watching, even though Clark and the Fever team are out of the play-offs. In fact, I'd bet that even the NBA's numbers will benefit from new WNBA fans going through Caitlin-withdrawal.

@@dbs1136 Lmao... you Caitlin Clark fans are dick riders. It seems that you have to step on the WNBA to lift CC. The first comment didn't criticize your beloved hero. Instead, the commenter refutes that the league can't bring in an audience unless CC is playing. Therefore the commenter speculates that 18k fans "hopefully this put to bed that no one cares about the WNBA" but obviously dick riders like yourself cares too much that you are bringing in numbers that do not correlate...lmao.

Each and every game takes on it's own Narrative. But Stewart hardly took over. What did happen in GAME 2, Collier got jived with 2 Bogus calls. One on offense and the other on Defense. From that moment, Collier had 4 Fouls and would be limited in how intense she could play Defense. Both teams were throwing the Game away so eventually the Liberty says, okay we might as well win this. But it's not like they dominated game 2 like the Final Score might suggest to some. Now the Lynx have to hold HOMECOURT because they do not want to have contend with a Game 5 in New York.

Wait, I thought that NO ONE was going to watch after Clark got exposed and was swept in the first round??? Let's look at the FACTS shall we? 1.1 MILLION viewers watched Game 1, which was THE MOST WATCHED GAME 1 OF WNBA FINALS HISTORY. That means that WITHOUT CAITLIN CLARK the WNBA Finals was able to reach the million viewer mark for the FIRST TIME in 21 years. The problem is that Clark stans want to believe that no one watched the WNBA before they came along, when in reality, viewership has increased for the Finals in each year. Viewership as a WHOLE for the WNBA is up. We know that because the Aces sold out their arena BEFORE Clark got drafted. See, you can always spot Clark stans because all they ever talk about are viewership and attendance numbers, whereas the rest of us just enjoy the GAMES and don't care who else is watching. True fans are fans of the WNBA and of BASKETBALL in general. Clark fans are simply fans of Caitlin Clark, and we can do without them as has been evidenced by the record-breaking numbers and the amazing gameplay. It just BURNS them when they see proof that the league doesn't need their messiah because there will always be better players coming down the pipeline to grow the league. The best part has been watching Ionescu reminding people that SHE is the best shooting guard in the W. I guess that's why SHE'S still playing, hitting those DEEEEEEEEEP 3s while Clark is sitting at home watching 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Unless the Refs lose the Liberty Special Whistle, the Liberty will have the upper hand, there was not one in game one, but it was there in a big time in game two.
This series will end up looking as if this was predetermined "established or decided in advance. " if it does not change.

The Liberty have a far better record for going to the foul line than their opponents do as well as not having as many fouls called against them.
    ....
The Liberty receive a disproportion number of shooting fouls, from personal fouls (see game 2 stats), and do not address fouls not called.
