I Built The BACKROOMS in Non Euclidean Minecraft!

- In my recent Non Euclidean Minecraft videos, I've received a few comments and requests surrounding the Backrooms creepypasta. I've seen a lot of Reddit stories, videos, and lore about the specifics of the Backrooms themselves, and other similar liminal spaces. For today's video I took it upon myself to try and create something that would create a similar experience to being stuck in the Backrooms using the power of Non Euclidean Minecraft! This is still to me one of the best Minecraft mods 1.16.5 has to offer, however, full disclosure, I'm starting to learn about the Create mod; lemme know if you wanna see that in a future video, or any other Minecraft 1.16.5 mods for that matter. If you clip further through the back rooms you go into deeper levels of the back rooms which is VERY VERY BAD.

I’ve made a much smaller version of this before, with and without portals, each time I used smooth sandstone for the walls, I bet you should do the same, considering that smooth sandstone looks disturbingly like the backrooms wall paper. Just a suggestion tho. Also really good vid
Protip: in the config menu of IP, you can disable rendering yourself in portals
Handy, but leaving it on is cooler.

If you're wondering what the music is at the start, its called Cipher by LEMMiNO, also go watch the original video where the song was first heard.

Make a sequel and fill it with traps as well (standard trapdoors, fire, etc.) or Euclidean visual tricks (upside-down rooms, rooms that make you smaller etc)
I have an idea!
An infinite hallway that seems to become more dangerous and creepy the further you go and using the large and small portals, you can make a really strange and creepy atmosphere including some of the Mutant and Infection mods. add some really unsettling ambiance and you have a dangerous and horror style hallway
the mutant and infection stuff make it shitty and less scary
Just magine the terror if he put wardens inside that maze...
Can you try to make the infinite IKEA? It would be similar to the backrooms.

Ah yes, the most mentally horrifying rooms of all time, being mazes with “fun puzzles”.
I recommend letting invisible Endermen inside, so they behave like "The Smilers"

There's something magically dark about a supernatural maze being so effective as to trap its creator.
I got this really intense feeling of dread and paranoia just from watching this

the droning humbuzz building as you traverse the halls... excellent atmospheric touch. didnt even notice for a long while too, but once i did it was impossible to ignore

Challenge Mumbo Jumbo to make a even more complex maze and you two could have an aMAZING time going back and forth, employ as many tricks, form dimensional doors and others.

You should use inward wrapping on this! Then it will truly go forever. The exit would be just another portal you hide somewhere.

Walls should be yellow concrete or yellow terracotta ("the madness of mono-yellow"), and the floors should be wool or at least carpeted ("the stink of old moist carpet"). Pretty impossible to simulate "the endless noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz" in-game, unless you put space inside the walls and fill it with bees or something, but you did really well on that part in editing the video.
the problem is, the only way to exit level 0 (this level) is to wait for the lights to go out.

Ya know, I’ve been wondering why all of these videos about non-Euclidean Minecraft seemed so nostalgic to me, and then I got recommended a JesperTheEnd video and it all made sense. This mod is just one big Jesper map.
Build a somewhat straightforward building, but then add some vents which have no foot in reality and are a really confusing way to get around the main building
If you're ever lost in a Euclidean maze, simply hug one side wall and follow it. worst case scenario, you hit every dead end along the way, but you are guaranteed to eventually find the exit. I have no idea if the same applies to non-euclidean mazes.
Don’t put the portals in the center but the edges of the blocks, it renders better and doesn’t look as jank, it’s probably less buggy as well.
Love how he cuts every half second while running around so you cant tell where he is

I have 2 Ideas!
3 one way portals.
Hide the entrance with one so you never can get back to the beginnning.
You could make the beginning room recognizable.
And put one way portals on both sides of the exit so that following
the right or left side wall will never lead you out!
The trick that everyone knows to leave a maze will help keep them inside.

This reminds me of a story I wrote base on what I heard on The Backrooms... I should probably get to finishing that.
I so desperately wish this could be done on bedrock/xbox edition, I'd have a great time messing with my pals with this! This is probably the best take I've seen done on a Minecraft Backrooms, well done!
Oh no combining non euclidian rooms with create's ability to sneakily change blocks sounds like an nightmare that i really wanna see
Nearly a year ago i made backrooms on my modless minecraft server. That was harder. I used a command block which teleports you to the backrooms when you fall under the bedrock. The main problem with backrooms was to make things loop correctly. But i made it. Some rooms were absolutely the same so when you get teleported you don't notice anything. I think i made it on 3 of my servers, and the last one had backroom built of stone bricks and used redstone torches for lighting. This was far from the original look of backrooms, but it looked more ominous. The server was shut down because after the holidays me and my friends had less free time and server's online dropped to zero. But i saved the map.
Rarely,you can find red rooms with dim lighting. You shouldn’t go in those rooms. I’m sad you forgot about that.

Omg this is so cool, I kinda wanna recreate this with various “levels” like the backrooms stories, and mayhaps peppering in a mob or two
I absolutely love that you used the lemmino music at the start. i love that track
Two things you should use redstone lamps and set them in a loop to flicker, just in every other other room, and you should use concrete or some other white like or yellow like block to really help with the loop feeling
Quick tip: clone makes the cloned content appear in the lowest coordinate set, like the 0,0,0 or in the f3 menu the part where the lines intersect.
Learned this through another channel that makes really cool command videos
I am so afraid of getting lost irl, but watching this you try the maze is getting me sick.
One recommendation to make this much more difficult would be to make it a disjoint maze (meaning that not all of the walls connect to each other)
I've been recreating the backrooms with shaders, and... I forgot Minecraft could get creepy.
A suggestion i have for if you make another one is to add more rooms and portals that lead somewhere else to the edges of the build so that you can never make out any defined edge or end, just more dead ends and rooms.

The Shining hotel would work great for this sort of subtle architecture changing mod.
Make them suffer with level 0 . Level 1 . Level 2 ... Don't look at the monster turn around and run the other way so they don't kill you
dont blame you at all for LOVING spruce my first ever minecaft world was on a TINY taiga island the thing was like two chunks i built a tree house in the spruce trees and...thats it ig

I constantly have dreams of entering buildings with infinite rooms. It goes on, with no dead ends.
what you could have done is place the portals where players will only see a SLIVER of themselves, to give the illusion that there's something else in there with you
