Regarding squatters and landlords, the state has failed everyone. Folks should have a right to have a roof in their heads, while property owners have right to their own property. The foundational issue here is lack of affordable housing. Folks are struggling and they see an empty house... what would you do if you are in that situation?

I would move in but as soon as I am told to get out, I would move on. These squatters destroy the home & are not taking care of it. There is no excuse or sympathy for these squatters!

It's one thing to live in a completely abandoned house. It's a whole another thing when you take over somebody's actual home

The thought of having someone move into your property and refuse to leave is the epitome of entitlement. They should have no rights whatsoever.

Clippers and Cops Program is brilliant, and should be practice nationwide. I wrote about this subject in my memior published by Page Publishing Inc.. NY

Wow! This doesn’t happen here in Sicily. If someone tried this, men would show up at the door with clubs and you would be escorted from the premises. 😂

People taking over abandoned buildings is fine, it makes sense. But if that abandoned building/property has an owner, and the owner is asking the squatters to leave then the law should be on the owner's side. It's ridiculous that someone can move in, change the locks, and essentially kick the owners out of their home and it's all legal.

It's sad that the last segment about indigenous people reconnecting with their land is not being paid attention to. These people are trying to teach others how to care for nature.

Can you squat government buildings if they allow to squat private property?

Is this going to affect people who are squatting on private property with the landowners permission? The unsheltered need to go somewhere. Every state needs to open up unused government properties for civilian use to create more slab cities!
