Wow that was a lot of work! I'm going to be replacing mines this weekend. I'm glad you was finally able to get that bolt out. The 250 looks great with a new coilovers!
YES! Your video inspired me! I got it done. Thank you so much. It is sitting pretty right now, wish I can show you. Have a couple of questions and concerns, if you would be so kind.... Now that everything is installed and fit/ adjusted... I have 3 dash warning lights on: Brake, ABS, and Traction (car with 2 squiggly lines)... Did you run into that?
If it’s just the head rusted to the control arm or the nut, it would break loose or snap with a breaker bar. Honestly it’s probably the same thing we dealt with, I’ve done a few coil installs and it seems pretty common that the shaft of the bolt will completely corrode into the inner bushing race on the lower mount. Poor design I guess, not sure how to prevent that haha.
Is his an awd or rwd? My 250 also has the c shaped control arms and when i ordered coils from tein there was no way for the front struts to sit on the arm.
Im looking to install the same coilrovers on my is350. Im not quite understand the stiffness adjusting? Does a stiffer setting mean a better ride quality? You feel less bumps on the road?
So the stiffer the suspension, essentially the stiffer your ride will be. There will be less suspension travel with a higher stiffness setting which means you will definitely feel the road more. But even at the softest setting, these coilovers ride quite well if you’re looking for something closer to factory but still taking advantage of upgrading and giving yourself the option to adjust ride height and stiffness anyways.
That paint is in beautiful condition Starfire Pearl is hard to maintain keep up the good work fellas IS350 owner here

@@zakweeler yeah i’ve added heat and wrenched it with the breaker bar, planning to angle grind it out tomorrow
i have the same Tein street advance z coilovers on my is250
i’m tired of the lowered driving over speed bumps, can i raise it to stock height?
Yeah that’s a lot of work.. and must have the right tools!
Wonder how much to take it to a shop to do? Probably done in 2 hours?
It would be about 4 hours if front and rear are done.
Beautiful
