      I suspect her dad is also dyslexic because he writes in all caps, it’s easier for dyslexics to read all caps

  • @NotAnotherKuromi
    @NotAnotherKuromi 6 років тому +222

    Her dad is probably dyslexic too. When I got diagnosed with dyslexia at 10, they went through the symptoms it dawned on my parents my Dad he is dyslexic too. He also writes in capitals as lowercase is more illegible but did not know why until he was middle aged. It really helped him identifying his problem & knowing he wasn't just stupid, I am sure it would help this womans Dad too.

      Right?? I have Irlen's syndrome (sometimes called Visual Dyslexia) that I wear tinted glasses for, and it wasn't until I went through the symptoms with a specialist while my grandmother was there that we realised she had the same thing! She was 80 years old at the time, so you can imagine that came as a shock.

    • @zarabada6125

      I don't see any similarities to Izzard. A big characteristic of Izzard's body language is his ability to portray arguments with himself. In this clip it is clear she is always focused on the audience, even when she is making a caricature.
      I'm not saying that is bad, just not something that resembles Izzard's style.

    • @laurabowden5
      @laurabowden5 5 років тому +1

      Zarabada She probably means her personality rather than his mannerisms. Honestly, I see what she means. She’s very much engaged with her audience, as any good comedian like Eddie Izzard.

    I’m from Portsmouth too, can agree with everything she said, the art of comedy is keeping to what you know and if you don’t know... that’s not her fault, congratulations on being raised somewhere better than we did, does not make it less funny, just less relevant....Poppy!

      MaxTilley just a quick ask mate, I’m from Southampton and whenever I see memes and that pinning the North and South of England compared to one another, I always feel like I relate more to the north despite being born and raised in Soton. Do you feel like Pompey and Southampton are the odd ones out in the south because we’re a bit more working class than the rest?

    • @89hatters
      @89hatters 6 років тому +10

      Brenna Moyer no, not many people ,very very few people. Most of the world is grown up enough to not have to demand a new description to make themselves special. Here's an idea :focus on the jokes and don't make an issue of her gender or sexual preference.

    • @pottedaloe9160
      @pottedaloe9160 6 років тому +9

      Brenna Moyer These guys doing it on this comment section are not unclear on her gender. They're trolls who attack female comedians and they're deliberately misgendering her to add insult to injury while making their tired "women aren't funny" comments. So your educating of them is going to go to waste here (while I agree with your sentiment).

    • @89hatters
      @89hatters 6 років тому +6

      Snow Cinder get over yourself. Who attacked Suzi?
      I merely pointed out the ridiculous comment about what to call her. She is not a "they". She is a comedian who happens to be a lesbian, and I really don't care who she sleeps with. All I care about is is she funny, and she is. Misgendering? Wtf. Grow up.
      See any comments about women not being funny?
      Stop reading things that aren't there and take your smug arse for a long walk.
