Most bitcoiners know about the infamous block size wars, but not many know that there have always been clashes, quarrels, dramas, and struggles in the bitcoin movement! From the 2013 conflicts between developers and political activists in the management of the bitcoin.org website, to the 2014 OP_RETURN wars that are just resurfacing now in the spam filtering debate. The dark or hard money topic will change over time, going dark is likely needed but who knows maybe it's not needed at all, first we need the trojan horse accepted and adopted widely everywhere in all systems. There needs to be enough skin in the game so that backing out of it will be the stupidest thing imaginable ;)

Why not let the free market decide if they are willing to pay for this stuff instead of talking bad about them?
Value is subjective. You can't decide what's valuable to someone else. Respect other peoples economic decisions on the network.

Spamming the Bitcoin blockchain with ordinals over a longer timeframe is in my opinion economically not viable. Inscriptions increase the size of transactions, leading to higher fees. The more data added, the more expensive the transaction. The cost of creating and broadcasting large numbers of ordinal transactions would likely exceed any potential benefits, making it an economically unsustainable activity and not worth it.
This is in no way comparable to the block size wars, sorry.
As long as money gets printed shitty ideas will continue to get funded. I agree that this will blow over. Just need patience.
@@LEDit0ut Bitocin is the economic counterweight. You can only print so much money, because Bitcoin holds your currency accountable.

@@FarfettilLejl I am a believer in only 1 Bitcoin blockchain. I see no need for multiple including alt coins. However there is a huge misinformation campaign brainwashing all of you Core folks that BTC is the original Bitcoin. It’s not. Segwit altered the protocol and BTC forked off.
To be clear, if it comes down to fiat vs BTC, I choose BTC all day. However, within the Bitcoin ecosystem I choose BCH and BSV over BTC scam coin any day.
