I'm going on 18 months of trying to create a new saved plan view that works. Spent a ton of time watching hours videos and reading articles, even paid people to help me understand it. No one can explain why when I add a dimension to new saved plan view it also shows up in the plan view that copied it from even though I followed your and many others instructions creating a copy of an existing saved plan view and in the new saved plan view creating a copy of the layer set. Have had this problem in X14 and X15. Is there a video anywhere that can explain why this is happening and how to fix it? Until I can get this figured out the only way I can copy a saved plan and use it is to not copy a saved plan view but save my entire plan under a new file name and then use the saved plan - not very efficient. Thanks in advanced for any insight!
This happens because even though you are creating a new SPV and a new dimension…you are not changing the layer that this new dimension is assigned to. Create a new layer set with each new SPV…and, create new/unique layers that you want these dimensions to be on
Awesome help! Thank you!
Thank you!
This is a good one Steve. Can you expand on this for a DEMO set and "Demo overlay" laid over the as-built?
