This track goes 'round & 'round in my head until I give in & give it a play. But it doesn't stop there... what gets me is Joey Santiago's fierce guitar refrain/go!
Awesome..this is the planet of sound , and joyful noise has been created by some Pixies.. So I do declare, everyday all citizens shall take a rock n roll dose of said Pixies .. or else wither away ..
@Gresaaa I never said it's dead, i just said it needs ot come back to the spotlight. And I'm never lazy to hear or see a band I've never heard before. If there's a gig goin' on in the vicinity there's pretty much no excuse for me not to be there. I fell luckey to have been bombarded with a lot of good music when I was a kid (even though all the "hip" kids told it was crap). And I've been writing songs and playing in bands for almost a decade. So I know there's a lot of good music out there.
@branimirs Yeah, it could very well be a chorus pedal, as you suggest. It could even be a phaser or just a tremelo pedal. But it is definitely not auto-tune.
My old band used to play this out all the time in clubs and most people thought it was our song. We played it more and never mentioned hey this is a Pixies song, but I was just the drummer so I can't take credit, but we kind of did haha, great crowd response Everytime
@Hakudohshi It's not auto-tune. He's using a flanger pedal, an effect which dates back to the '60s. Unlike most of these no-talents today, Frank could actually sing.
@SirHatchporch Yeah, all of those can create a warbly sound. Not sure about the tremolo, though. Since auto tune was released in 1997 it was quite impossible for Frank to use it back when they recorded the album. But people unfarmiliar with effects pedals could mistaken it. Damn! Real music (and musicians) needs to come back. And not this generic overproduced crap. I'm glad I grew up on actual music.
@branimirs I think people are forgetting that others are moving forward, it's a shame people can't embrace the music from the 20th century like people of that time did but then again, the only people that still listen to 'classical' music are those of the older generation, obviously that is a huge generalisation because i listen to it too and i'm only 18. It's like fashion, you either still like it or you don't and you move on to the next thing, a lot of music is money driven now sadly
I’ve watched this video more times than I can count. It rips so much harder than the album version... goes hard AF
This was the best concert of all goddamn time.
Amen
I saw them during this tour. Two days after the concert I started to hear again
I'm back 6 years later and I just thumbed up everyone on here. Never get old!!!!

Dont they owe PIL a bit of money for this bass and drumline?
"FOR IT'S CANALS AND COLOR OF RED!!!!"
Umm, no. Bad! Do you use an apostrophe before the s in every word that ends in a? LOL
I agree with Mr wilbowaggins.

Huh... I've heard this kind of sound in Summer of the Strange by the Toadies... interesting.
(Toadies' song is much newer)
@SirHatchporch
So that's a flanger? I wondered what it was. Thought it was a chorus effect.
2023!!! .-)

Classical gas.... Tenacious d....
you can definitely tell Nirvana rip them off in this song..
True, but you know very well what I was trying to articulate. Puh-lease stop being such an intentional nuisance. ;)
Why is his voice jelly wobbly alien 👽?
