Awesome video thanks so much for sharing, always used Lightroom but now with Sony A1 camera can take 1,000 photos at a time so this will definitely speed up the cullling process once I get it all set up.
Superb stuff. I am new to this. Will the fast move at the end of the video automatically take across the Photo Mechanic meta data fields such as Copywright?
Hi Robert: Great video! Did you happen to create a workflow video when using Capture One Pro? Also, do you ever keyword images and if so do you use PM or LR for this process? Cheers, Keith
No, I never did do a C1 video. Every now and then I swear I'm finally going to switch to C1, but I never do. Keywording is all in PM if I know in advance that I need to keyword. I'll set up autocomplete and code replacements to speed things up. But if I'm keywording old stuff, I'll just do it in LR.
Make sure the "Enable Auto Import" box is checked in the Auto Import setup window, and double check that PM is set up to move files to the Auto Import Watch folder you set up in Lightroom.
DxO Lab, or Luminar, or Exposure (extremely fast, even with Raw rendering, as it uses the GPU of your computer), or ON1 are even faster as you don’t have to go to all this process. The files can be edited straight away from where they are on the HD. You don’t actually need LR. I personally use Exposure X6. Blazing fast, no import, ready to edit, even with layers. So no PhotoMechanic needed, no LR, no PS!
Very cool, thanks for sharing this! Workflow feels like the biggest impediment to my amateur photography so I really appreciate these tips.
Great video Rob and TU for taking the time to explain ;D

Excellent , very useful
Great video. Wondering if you still plan on doing a Capture One video?

Do you think if it’s possible to réalise the same process Photo Mechanic plus with LUMINAR AI or DXO LAB ?
Thanks for your answer.

Photo Mechanic and Adobe Camera Raw. I'm done with LR.
That works, too! Might even faster, for quick edits.
