AK-Vs have been flying off the shelves since GT did his in review. 4pm everyday when they post em up they are literally gone in 5 minutes. I had a Zenith Z5RS, AR9, Stribog A2 and my AK-V is easily my favorite and best all around performer.

Not to mention the fact that a PCC can be more accurate than a standard handgun when configured with an 'evil' stabilizer brace. A pistol in x39 could be overkill in a lot of home defense scenarios and locations. And they are a $h¡Г ton of fun to practice with Why do so many people have such an issue with PCCs? If you been at this a minute you should already have your big boy tools by now. It's okay to have fun tools too.

By far my favorite firearm that I own. PSA has knocked it out of the park with this gun. Even at 1K it's an absolute bargain and a must have for any gun enthusiast.

yeah but is it really "an AK" then. Kind of the whole heart of the rifle system, the long stroke piston, the bolt carrier, the rotating bolt head and so on aren't there anymore. It's really just a simple straight blowback subgun in an AK shaped casing
@@Laotzu.Goldbug it's called the AKV, good enough of an AK for me, and I've run through a lot of them in my 43 years. Even had some giggles when I was 7. Chicago, Southside, in the 80s.
I picked up two of these AK-Vs a year ago. Not the most expensive, not the fanciest, but it is by far my favorite gun of all I own to shoot. The thing is just an amazing, reliable, and a beast. Put a fostech in it for some real fun.
So this video came out (to the public) this morning on Black Friday, this afternoon PSA released a bunch of firearms for sale from their website. That being said I went to go check to see if there were any AKVs for sale and lo and behold every single model of akv was available! I went to go check my bank account, maybe 2 minutes later by the time I got back to PSAs website literally only one model was left. I've been trying to get one for weeks and then this video reignited my lust it, and I was lucky enough to get one today!
Haven’t finished watching the video, but based on comments alone I’m guessing it does well. I just got mine delivered this week and took it out shooting yesterday. It shoots amazing. I could only shoot 150 rounds because ammo is hard to come by at the moment. Most of those rounds were bump fired and it was with “cheap” steel case monarch ammo from academy. It didn’t fail once. I already love this thing.

Great gun.. Took me 6 months of checking the PSA website 4 times a day to get the one I wanted. It was well worth the wait. Fires in sand and mud, also works great in snow and ice. I just need to be reminded on pop occasion that it isn't a rifle. Great for coyotes and took a deer with it as well. Great videos.
This is why the AK design is reliable. An AK made by a reputable company should perform like this. I tested my Yugo M70AB2. Everything safety down/off. Threw it in dirt and kicked dirt in it. Poured some dirt right into in. Poured some grass (lawn was just mowed). Not a single malfunction.
This is why the IRA loved the AK style of weapon. They could bury them in a field and months later dig them up and use them. I know this being a former British army soldier. Great content by the way keep up the fight.
Pretty darn impressive! I've been locked-in on researching the CZ Scorpion and the Sig Sauer MPX-K, but I may have to take a closer look at the PSA KV-9.

I absolutely love my AKV.. I bought the first one of the first ones that came to the shop. It has replaced my Mossberg 590A1 as the primary Home Defense Weapon.
I'm waiting for Palmetto to restock these and getting one with a brace. Huge fan of your video's man. It's helped me, post military career, figure out the nuances and considerations for future purchases.
These and the CMMG Banshee are my favorite PCCs. I don't think the Banshee would do as favorably in the gauntlet test due to its rotary bolt, but it would be interesting to see.
I'm more pissed at myself for not buying one before the bat stew flu, riots, and election caused the prices to go crazy. Check their website on weekdays around 2pm to 4pm and set email notifications for the model you want.

@@kasper7106 The email when instock doesn't work for the AKV. They sell out on average within 15 minutes of going live. The best method is to join the PSA AKV facebook group and wait for someone to post when they're instock. Generally its between 2-4pm est every day.
@@j.p.4541 You don't have to install the spring and hammer under pressure with the shotgun shell holding it like they show in the install video.. Just put the spring on the hammer and fish it into place from the back.. Then put the pin in.. You will Love the Trigger.. U will see why... :)
This PCC is a BEAST, and I'm glad that owned one for a while. But man that Yukon River can be swift during the spring so, I lost my AKV. Maybe I'll find it again one day.
I was debating on buying this tomorrow and found your video now I'm definitely buying it. It will be awesome with my silencerco omega 36m on it. Found a kit with 10 magazines with ALG TRIGGER and billet rail system. I bought the psak-104 last week the 12.5 with alg lighting bow and billet rail system. It's going to machine shop tomorrow to redo thread pitch on barrel so I can attach an ASR quick attach brake. Up till I got the 104 I never even thought of psa as a firearm option. Up till it my cheapest firearm was a Daniel defense DDm4v7p. Or the MK18. Now I also want the Jakl.
That’s absolutely incredible. I’d wager the K USA may be similar in reliability as well. I’d love to see an AR9 complete this test as well even a MP5 style pistol as well.
This successful test has caused a time space paradox. I received notification on Nov 27th at 8:40 am EST. Publish date shows today. But there are comments 2 months old.
I love mine so much. Only been able to take it out to shoot, once. I've got 1,000 rounds on backorder (since fucking June, estimated delivery in January... allegedly), can't wait to get it out again. Oh and if you slap an ALG trigger in it, the thing bumpfires at an absurd rate of fire. I've got a short vid of it up. Fully loaded +1, to empty in well under 3 seconds, if you're into that kind of thing =P
I wonder if the KP9 would be any different. Also, it will be very interesting to see AR PCC's go through this too. Its to bad you don't know any extremely wealthy people to do the gauntlet tests on rifles! Haha, we can only dream.
Fun vid, but I wish you would of popped the top after the second run, but before rinsing with the hose. I would of loved to see how much gunk was in the trigger, & on the rails. As a AK guy (love my PSA AK-E dearly) this is the PCC I want, but those mags really need to be a higher capacity then 15. When my Glock 19 can get factory mags twice the capacity it just seems wrong.

I've found the AKV to be an incredibly fun and reliable gun but that second run with the safety in the down position is pretty surprising/impressive.
Im a firm believer in the AKV9. Rob's video is also a testament to the quality of this firearm.

I have a gen 4 PSA PX9 and it's a soldier. The finish leaves a little to be desired but everything else is spot on.
Ak platform/piston/guts, has always be super reliable n ive put a few of mine through hell n back.

Got the exact one I wanted 2 weeks ago, od triangle brace, 2 extra smoke mags.
I picked up the plum color and the ODG... My home actually feels safer now.
