Sails are difficult and it is a wreck.
@@LadyVineXIIITrue, but he did say he was restoring the ship. Regardless, with or without a sail, it is an unreal build.

The island of knowledge looks so cool I’ll give it a 10/10
the roots from the mangrove trees make wild looking flooring in builds, like a very flat carpet or linoleum flooring and colors show through
If you really wanted to, you could use a debug stick to rotate the cartography table but you’d have to use a command so I understand if you wouldn’t want to do that. Also, maybe you could add a sort of gazebo / ceiling / overhang to the ship to add a bit more height and then under it add some bookshelves to add to the librarian vibe! Like a semi-open-air library.
I like the idea of having the villagers in the ship! However, Thorns 3 actually takes more durability off of your armor (I believe). Perhaps change it out with sharpness?
It really doesn't. It was some time ago that they made the change so that the thorns enchantment no longer drains your armour's durability 😀
No it does not as of 1.14.2
It does have a chance of taking extra durability, but between Unb3 and Mending, it doesn't matter even for gold armor (assuming you collect the XP! I'd skip Thorns3 on the gold helmet).
Thorns3 is a strange choice for a limited number of enchantments. TBF, you can only get it as Thorns2 from the enchantment table, so , if you want it on all your amror, it is nice from a villager.
Power5 is a strong choice since if you play with infinity, then you have to keep making new bows over time.. I normally also stop for Sharp5, FFall4, Resp3, or Depth Strider3.

Could move the bed to the front of the ship and do a small canopy above out of wool or cherry wood, should make it not stick out like a sore thumb on the ship. Love the build! :)

This ship feels like it might have sprung enough of a leak in its hull to take on water and sink down a block or two... I might consider raising it up to blocks if you're serious about restoring it and moving villagers in.
If and when you go to a jungle, be sure to grab a parrot it would be perfect for the inside of your ship.

Hi there python! Awesome build as always! I would only suggest you to continue the ‘pillars’ of the ship and perhaps add a ‘pirate’ on top of it! I think it would be a great addition to the ship!
Hi Phyton love your content. I have a suggestion about the palm trees: I think you should try stripping the oak wood as it could give it the pale yellowish colour. Not sure though. Have a nice day.

I love the island. It makes me wish we had access to some sort of beach grass though. Perhaps it could be used to make a thatch block? The sand beaches just seem to need a little something extra. EDIT: Random thought, would stripping the logs used for the palm trees look good? It would give them a different texture and colour from the oak trees. Just an idea.
Python i feel like you should add a big curtain/ sail to the ship using white wool or maybe a different material, Love your vids

one suggestion i might give is to shred a bit of land around the ship and connect the entrance with spruce trap doorwith the island. because the ship is kinda looking like its infused into the soil.
That's how it's intended, almost like it's only just crashed into the island or something 😅

Hey python I love the look of the island of knooowledge. Since there is going to be a huge storage system essential to all your seasons I think it would be cool to have a MEGA ice highway connecting all seasons together directly (in the nether ofc)
Yeah! Definitely! At some point in the not too far future, there'll be a new ice boat road connecting the S3 area of the world to the rest of it 😀

Python i think Mojang has changed the villager book trades now it depends on what biome that the villagers are from so only specific trades are available in specific biomes.
That's behind an experimental toggle right now, which I don't have enabled in this world 😀

Love the work python. You might try using mud brick fences and mud bricks (I think) for the palm tree trunk and bricks for decoration
Suggestion for the island, I know its a small area but I think a red x with a gold block in the bottom would fit good with the theme

Enchants that are more valuable than Thorns 3: literally anything. No I'm kidding but I'm taking Depth Strider, Feather Falling, Infinity, Respiration etc over Thorns any day, Thorns is a great way to get your zombie villagers killed when trying to transport them in a boat

i think you should add some little rocks on the island of knowledge and yiu could even add a basement to the lighthouse.
Some shipwrecks have a big mast coming up the middle, that could be cool to add to yours! Also, Riptide might be a good idea for one of the villagers in the ship since you have a Trident!
Only problem is Riptide and Loyalty are mutually exclusive. He needs a second trident so he can fly in the rain.

Just a suggestion, Craig - "re-float" the shipwreck? It's almost certainly complete below the surface, so why not dig it out and turn that end of Knowledge Island into a much more substantial pier to moor it to, with a gangplank for access?

I expect it will probably end up getting used for this anyway, and it might have changed by Episode 18, but if you take some of those spruce stairs out of the 'rudimentary storage' room and add in some barrels around, you could use it as storage for your eventual villager trades. If you have any resources you can sell, they can be stored in here for whenever you want to get some exp.
I think you made a double guardian farm on Season 3 of PW if I remember correctly. You also converted a shipwreck that season too, so that's another callback to PW! I wonder if you'll be able to find a way to tip your hat to season 2 and complete the set at some point! Any nearby jungle lakes ha ha?
If you place your villagers on trap doors, you can then create a 2x1 passage around the back of the villagers. The villagers won't be able to get out and you can leave a zombie in that hallway to do its thing!
How about fixing your bed location problems with a RP solution? Remove one of the double chests on the ship and place the bed there? As some sort of place the villages would go to to sleep, or appease the invisable deckhand that keeps the place orderly?
You could eventually fill out the whole top open part of the ship with all the villager enchant books since there is so much space and expand the ship upwards. Then add some sails on there and a boarding ramp and it would be incredible!! It would be like those old 17th century ships!
You can add cocoa pods on the palm trees to represent coconuts😂
After re-watching the entire series (three seasons combined), this build project of Island of Knowledge is one of the best builds in this entire world IMO despite its size.
hey python, when you get brown dye , use brown stained glass on the ship pls.
Great build, Python! A couple of suggestions: clearing the sand from around the ship, and continuing the spruce pillars in the center to make sails (perhaps rolled up, as it is not currently at sea). Keep on keeping on!
