- Jalon Daniels kicks off his Heisman campaign with another outstanding performance against Duke. Daniels accounted for five total touchdowns and 407 yards of total offense. Rock Chalk Jayhawk KU!
Kansas has good players all around on offense when did this happen
They have had them. They just needed a good coach.
I believe the new coach turned over almost half of the scholarship players during the offseason
They had the 12th best transfer class bro, people didn’t see that a bunch of dudes from major schools transferred in (a few from Ohio state)
We've had playmakers for the last 12 years. We just have had so much instability they never were able to develop. Only one had four years, the others two or less and position coaches were changing all the time. And clearly Lance Leipold was the best hire and its not really even close. Travis Goff also needs a raise.

This offensive coordinator created an amazing new scheme. The Duke players are clearly confused by all the motions
Last week Jalon mentioned the OC is all about disorienting the defense. It sounds like their offense really has established an identity for the first time in years.
It’s not just the Duke players. It’s happened every week. I think it was Houston that the announcers commented were on skates.
A lot of credit needs to also go to the receivers catching the balls and blocking downfield, the OL keeping him virtually spotless (1st sack of the year and they’ve played good DL), and everybody executing.
Well they don’t catch it if they don’t have a good qb placing it in the right spot.
"SPINNING, LOOK AT HISHAW GOOOO! WHAT KIND OF SPEED DO YOU GOT YOUNG MAN!? GET THERE! HE DOESSSSSS!" 🤣
Sounds like the hornets commentator
Wow. Nothing like seeing a natural thrower in the pocket. Stands in there and absolutely rips it
Very similar to the Baltimore Ravens Offense!

Kansas? Football?
What a great atmosphere in that stadium. Jayhawk Nation.
Can they do a football & basketball double?
Aquib Talib.
Football………..no. But basketball……..of course. They only beat my Tar Heels for the national championship back in April. If this coach is as good as he think he is. Kansas has to be regulars competing for conference championships on the yearly basis.
@@vincente4570 I feel u on thar Tar heel s***. Lol. I wished the Panthers would get a gm worth a damn. 😆
@@brooksfleming7643 All I can do is 😄😄😄😄😀😀😀😃😃😃😃😁😁😁
@@vincente4570 Whats crazy is. People dint even know Lawrence Taylor was a Tarheel.
This KU offense is weird. Never seen one like it
Yeah it’s awesome to watch
@@ianballer6153 this oc is going to move up quickly
It's a thing of beauty
Best name for it is the triple option spread.
It's almost like an NFL style
Sweet lord some of those passes had sauce.
Jayhawks are for real , we will see for sure this week with Iowa State.
the way he runs the read option is ELITE
No one has ever run it better than Lamar Jackson.
@@yeawhateverdudesureJayden Daniels
@@FrZeshh put the crack pipe down and delete that comment
@@yeawhateverdudesure watch his game versus Florida and come back.
@@FrZeshh you're joking right ? Watch Jackson's game against Florida state and come back. One of the Greatest college performances in history. 2016 Lamar Jackson Vs Florida state literally
Considering how irrelevant Kansas football's been for a (relatively) long time, everyone should be considering Daniels as a Heisman contender. We'll see what happens in conference play and where they are at the end of the year, but the implications for future Kansas football success if the 2022 season keeps positively chugging along correlate directly with Daniels' ability to lead the offense. Talk about Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Brock Bowers, etc. but you're talking about guys on perennially dominant teams. Daniels deserves recognition, as well as the coaching staff and full roster. The work has certainly been put in, and the results are showing on game days!
3:52-4:27 GREAT call by the announcer!!! Who is he?
His voiced cracked 🤣🤣
offense looks like the dolphins/ravens hybrid w the rpo designed qb runs and short passing. wish there were more deep passes but i can’t complain at all dudes a baller
Bro is this the same announcer for the Hornets??????😭😭
Rock Chalk Jayhawk Baby!
His Helmet/ visor combination is the shit.
Is this a new mask variation he must not like the bars in his face
Reminds me of Hendon Hooker’s 460 yards and 3 TD against the Florida defense.
YOU GOTTA Call Jalon Daniels "PORTAL". Tha ball leaves his hands and ends up in this WR hnads Perfectly lmao hahah ;D
4:00 GODLIKE CALL yea yaya ;D
Nah 6 is actually sick af. That throw for his 4th TD was comical
Can anyone tell me why they are still not ranked?
Has great potential & he could bring it back next year with bigger potential so I he could potentially be a good draft pick. But CJ Stroud has that Heisman as of now.
KU beat Duke, wake me up when they beat real competition.
All you need is an opportunity ✨️ 🙏
Daniels got an NFL QB written all over him. Panthers? Falcons? Giants?
Is that the same play by play caller for the Charlotte Hornets?
yes
After the first game. I laid $1,000 at +35,000 for the Heisman. I hope this comment ages well. 🙏
I doubt it but damn I'm rooting for ya
I would love to go DB/KR/PR for Kansas. ❤️🔥👣🫵🏾💯📩📨📬📦🟧🏉🟧👈🏾 Rugby
As far as I’m concerned. The early nominees are CJ STROUD AND CORUM of Michigan is being talked about so far. This cat has to play tougher opponents to get mentioned. Otherwise we’ll c.
Total TDs? Are there partial TDs that earn fewer than six points?
I'm sure you're being facetious, but he had four passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown
Reminds me of RG3
Heisman winner ?
They didn't play anyone Blake Corum from Michigan had 5 tds against unconn and 243 yards and a couple tds against Maryland that's a Heisman candidate idk bout this guy
Heisman
From a Tar Heel. Has anyone noticed he's playing Duke? Lol
Doesn’t matter he’s playing duke. He’s not the qb for Alabama, He’s the qb for Kansas lol. Talent is equally spread on the field
JD has real talent but I’m sorry those new helmets are terrible.
Don't ever put Kansas and Heisman in the same sentence again lol but this dude is a dawg and I love watching him play
Oh you can only get the heisman at Alabama? Clemson? USC? Ohio state? Shut up
@coachpunches55 I'm sorry that Lance Leipold is getting no Johnny Footballs at Kansas🤷🏿♂️
@coachpunches55 not even an A&m fan just keeping it a buck with you
@@16Keitt this kid is better than Johnny football
@@16Keitt that’s what sports is all about we gotta talk trash
Maybe that worn out turf is an advantage 🤔
Duke is terrible but im still a ku fan.
It’s duke. 🤷🏽♂️
Did Duke complain about someone in the stands shouting a racial slur since they lost this game? That's seems to be their excuse, and Ol' Miss' excuse, for when they lose.
Maybe we should wait until they play somebody in the top of half of the Big 12 before we crown him.
That ain’t how it works.
Well stop crowning Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Caleb Williams, and any other heisman levels QBs that have played mediocre competition?
Maybe some of us know enough about ball to know a good player when we see one.
Black qb’s just run and most times white qb’s stay in the pocket? 🤔🧐
KU has a good team again. I wonder how long before they fire the coach and go back to losing seasons. Every time they get a good coach, they let them go.
great player but i hate those ugly helmets like no dude
More Duke’s defense than it was Daniels. I’ll give it to him, he had a good game but didn’t have many difficult throws to make. Receivers were wide open all game. Coach deserves a ton of credit.
That's true, but imo it still takes a special player with plenty intangibles to take the reigns.
Weird how nobody makes those excuses for the presumptive Heisman candidate QBs even tho they all play for Top 5 teams loaded with 5 star players lmao.
@@derpcon4212 for real - most of those guys are going to be both well coached and coachable. That offense is a lot of fun to watch
More Houstons defense than it was Daniels. More WVU defense than it was Daniels. Next week it will be more Iowa State than it's Daniels lmfao. When you open up the run game and rush for over 100 in the 1st quarter, passes are naturally going to become "more open" because the run is a threat. KUs offense played masterfully. Had nothing to do with Duke playing "bad"
You’re crazy😂
What a joke. KU will finish the season 5-7 and Daniels will be on the sideline recovering from the beating Big12 defensive lines put on him. It will be K Who starting this week bs Iowa State.
I think he's legit. Saw it a bit against Texas last year. This kid is special.
