I am in a long distance relationship which is sweet and difficult at times. This song reminds me of the person and all the nights we stay up talking on a video call where both of us know we need to sleep but we do not. Saw CAS live for the first time some 10 days ago and this song gave me the best emotions ever.
I met my wife in high school. We tried making a long distance relationship work. It took us 2 years until we could move in with each other and not be apart. That was over 30 years ago. We have been married for 28 happy years now and have two gorgeous daughters. I'm sitting here listening to this song while she works on her tablet. I still think she is so beautiful and amazing. I cannot believe that I am so lucky to have spent my life with her. My point is... this song is so good and sometimes long distance relationship pay off.

I once drove 18 hrs straight after working a 12 hr shift just to go see my ex in Denver. is it just me or does this song make anyone else feel incredibly sad? love songs like these make me sad because i don't feel like anyone will ever love or view me like that (when i can't even love myself). i know relationships aren't important and you can easily be happy without being in one but it'd be nice to feel reciprocated unconditional, geninue love. i'm probably a little too young to feel so hopeless but it'd be nice for someone to finally love you, or just finally not be a second choice. (it's selfish but it'd just be so great to finally not be "the second choice" or just "not good enough" for someone.)

I definitely think youtube started recommending me this band cause I listened to A LOT of Mazzy Star at one point. I'm super glad cause I'm obsessed. It also started recommending me Giles Corey for the same reason. Another thing I'm really happy about.
Giles Corey is fantastic. Many people compare Giles Corey, Cigarettes After Sex and Mazzy Star a bunch. I've never listened to Mazzy Star. But maybe I should.
