Get a jackery portable charger and a portable ac like half the size of a regular ac in a window
If you fill A/C up with ice and then add water to it , it will make a big difference.

Maybe try putting ice cube in it. That’s what makes the cool air is really cold ice water. Hope it works out for you

Have you considered getting a portable EZ up shelter for the back of your truck. You could have stayed outside as it rained and cooked the food and eat outside. There are so nice.
If you want sticky rice, dont clean it. :) so glad you didnt resrart! For me, a screen net so you can leave back of the truck open at night. Also, there are screens socks you can pull over the doors, and then you can open the windows:the best. Also...making rice before you go, freezing in flat ziplock bags, and that helps keep cooler cool and you have rice for each night. For camping i love my big battery coleman fan...with foam blades so its light but safe. Hang one from ceiling, one for cross breeze, batteries last all summer.
So jealous of that spot, keep grinding kid love what your doing.
The steam it's pumping out is the humidifier, definitely shut that mode off.

If you like that rice. Try a rez special. White rice and raisins mixed with evaporated milk and a little bit of sugar. It's DELICIOUS! But I think you use the AC with ice in it? I been wanting one too. Haha
My idea woukd be to bring a few of the blue gel bead cold pack. Put them in your cooler with ice and your cold food. They retain cold well. Put on your forehead etc.
Max air fan ftw. Also, you could diy a beer cooler ac using frozen water bottles instead of ice tgat will evaporate into your camper. Just for sleep, so position it so it blows right on you.

Something that would help you out with that fan open up one of your windows put the fan pointing out so it sucks out all the hot air in your bed cab and see if it helps you out a little bit

If you just do ice-no extra water-in the AC it helps. It'll still be hot, it's not the perfect solution for sleeping in a metal box, but I bought a similar unit and the ice only, not ice water does make a difference.
The steam is the water part of it being used. to help cool even better . Most likely
So I wonder if small window fans on opposite settings (one on intake and the other outtake) would help. I say this bc my brothers did that in their bedroom windows which were right next to each other, and it made the room ice cold. Idk the science of it but it worked amazingly! Idk how small they make window fans or if maybe you can find small usb fans to fit in your side windows. But just getting cool outside air in and circulated thru the cab will help a bunch!

I can't speak for any portable ac, but always back into your spot. Your more aware of your surroundings and you can get out faster. Love the content, keep it up
You have the back of the fan blocked causing lack of airflow you need space for air to circulate if you want to make a portable ac for your truck you can do it with an old cooler a battery powered fan ice and some pve pipe make your own it will work way better !!
I love most asian foods but add mango and I am drooling. Keep showing these different camp foods, isee ingredients that I know and many I don´t. One of our local supermarkets has an American section and i find some stuff there now. Love the mix of food, camping, fishing and fun. All the best.

I don't know about this dish but . I think I'd put a dash of cayenne powder and maybe a little Turmeric for its color and its anti inflammation benefits.

I work for an HVAC manufacturer and I hate they call that thing an A/C. It’s an evaporative cooler that uses water to cool the air. It only works in super dry locations where humidity is needed. In normal to humid conditions it only adds humidity which the more humidity you have, the more heat that’s retained. I hated watching you suffer, wishing the best for you always- your awesome! Keep it up!

I used to have the same truck, same top. Here's what I did sweetie, I used to slide the topper back 4-8" so it wasn't right up against the cab, making an air gap. Huge difference! Sure the topper will be hanging of the back in excess AND you take the risk of bugs at night (specially here in FL). However, a sweaty sauna night sleep vs a cool breezy air flow night sleep is all the difference. I loved fishing laying on my mattress with the hatch open listening to the waves and smelling the salt water all night..... Ahhh, when are you coming to Florida? I suggest Sanibel/Pine Island/10000 islands with the Kayak and the weighted jig head paddle tail.... Best fishing in the country.
You should consider adding the slumberjack tarp to your gear it's light weight and can attach to the back of your truck so you won't have to retreat to the camper when the rain starts there a little pricey but well worth it
You keep motivating me to go camping even as hot as it is. I prefer a hammock though.

I was curious about those little AC units for tent camping. I think I will just buy a fan lol. Love the video. The fire, sea, sunset, and fireworks all seemed like a great combination.
With a small portable inverter generator (Honda, generac, ect) you can run alot of stuff out of the back of your truck and be comfortable. Small heater, small portable ac that can vent out the truck topper window , lights, tools ect
I work in a foundry so its over 100 degrees on the night shift for about two months straght. As soon as I get home the air conditioner goes on.

5 gallon bucket cut pvp pipe out, frozen milk jug inside a circle foam inside bucket , hole on top to place fan downward, ac no but blown cold air on you, like you said fan lasted night. Also if you have a freezer, sometimes what I do is hole freezer pops with the fan to get my body temperature cold to sleep when I wake up when they melted put it right back in the freezer for next night.

Becca👋! Bummer about the "fake" AC. I don't know a good recommendation for one. We have a floor model portable AC but it's big and heavy and runs off of a generator or power for tent and van camping. Walmart sells little AC units, maybe your solar power supply could handle one of those 5,000 or less ones. Our military troops use propane AC units in their tents. Home Depot helps convert them to propane use, maybe check that out. Hope you find a good work-around. Love your camping spot! My kind of place and camping style for 👍 sure!
Keep looking for a better ac unit I’m in Indiana so yeah it gets roasty in the summer I’ve been wanting to do the truck camping thing I’ve just been busy got a decent size suv I’ll have to check out those portable ac units hopefully you find a better one 😊.

As someone who is 100% Asian who just happen to spend 5 years living in Thailand as a child I have never seen sticky rice made like that...lol. women if you need a Thai chef on your camping trips, I'm in. I really would like for yo to try my Thai fish recipe that is so easy that anyone can make it.
My guess is the little AC is best for small spaces. Have you considered buying a tent? Might be cooler to sleep outside, plus you can set up the AC in your tent. I bet it’d work better.
honestly, you should try the lower setting. They usually blow colder air at a lower speed.
Check out the ecoflow AC unit that flair has..... it seems to work well in his offgrid cabin.
