Can you name any similar games to Ultimate General, perhaps set in different time periods? I like the dynamic tactical command aspect very much. Hope 2016 on YT is as successful as it was last year!
Actually, A.P.Hill commanded the 3rd Corps of the Army of NOrthern Virginia. 1st Corps was Longstreet's. Posted this after four minutes of video, if you corrected yourself later.
Slocum refused orders to advance to Gettysburg and spent most of the day camped less than 5 miles from the town. It wasn't until dusk when he belatedly brought his corps onto the field.
I don't know that Dartis intended for this simulation to be a recreation of what actually happened on July 1st 1863. If he did then the simulation is of course rife with inaccuracies in deployments. Rodes Division was never that far to the east-north-east of town as they begin in this particular game scenario. Most of 11th Corps made its dispositions directly north of town forming up against the right flank of the Union 1st Corps and to my knowledge the Yankees were never deployed on Benner's Hill as this simulation suggests. Also elements of Stewart's cavalry wouldn't be seen at Gettysburg for another day so the dismounted cavalry and cavalry units that appear in the lower right hand corner 75% into the game is a complete fiction. Otherwise it's one of my more favorite simulations within this game.
+Robby House I'm not sure what the developers intent was either but if you claim your game is about a historical battle than I think it's fair to point out what doesn't match. With that said, I think this is a brilliant and entertaining game that despite some inaccuracies plays perfectly well. It's perfectly reasonable to sacrifice some realism for playability imho but that doesn't mean calling out those inaccuracies is unfair either.
Does this game have much replayability? it looks great and i want to buy it but i am worried it will become boring after afew days, which is what i do not want
+Jared Davenport It's got plenty of customized simulations and a good 20-25 of those same games are made available for multiplay with other players so that will always guarantee that you'll never fight the same fight twice. At $14.99 I think it's a steal myself.

+HI BILLY MAYS HERE It has over 30 scenarios so I doubt it would get boring. I definitely still enjoy it months later.
