great video! another thing for your first aid kit is Gas X, good to have with a breed that could bloat. I always carry Gas X and ant acids for my dobes.
That's a great idea, we've always wondered how to get ahead of that! Thanks for watching! Sorry for the way late response, I don't know how you slipped through!
I love that you guys have given your dog more freedom by being ecollar trained! If you're ever looking to create more clarity in communication with your dog, invest in a high quality ecollar that has many levels (e.g., 100) and a trainer whose approach you align with (since there are many ways to apply and utilize the ecollar), but you already know that! (Wanted to comment this for others who stumble across this video) Ecollars today aren't like those cheap shock collars in the past. Technology has evolved and the "shock" is no longer that, but similar to a TENS unit in human therapy. A high quality ecollar, proper use and your preferred application means you never have to give, or go up to, a heavy correction if you don't want. Also wanted to quickly address the misconception a lot of people have of the vibrate setting being less aversive. Most dogs actually find the vibrate more aversive than a low level stim., especially because the vibrate levels aren't adjustable unlike the blunt stimulation. Like you said, if your dog isn't paying attention, you can always give him a low level stim at his working level. It'd be like a tap on the shoulder vs what can be a startling vibrate at a fixed intensity. All dogs are different and I'm glad that Moose does well with the vibrate, and along with the tone setting, to meet your specific wants and needs! Helpful video! Loved the way you highlighted manners in the van! Enjoy your travels :)
Thanks for getting that info out there! We have always wanted an ecollar from ecollar technologies or dogtra but we don’t have the money 😂 I’m a huge Larry Krohn fan and I just did what I could with what I have! And because I learned a lot from him the first thing we did was teach moose those manners you were a fan of haha! Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video!
It is definitely possible! If we can make it work in our tiny van with a big dog you can too! Just make sure they get plenty of exercise and you’ll find them enjoying their lives so much 😁 thanks for watching!
subscribed! thanks for the video now i have idea how to traveling with my doberman. gonna try also travel vlog in my chann.. lovely doberman by the way.. keep making more videos. God bless
Wow it’s not often we see other people with dobermans!! Moose says thanks for the compliment 😁 thanks so much for subscribing and encouraging, happy to have you along for the ride!!
Thank you! We’ve actually never crossed the border (although it’s in the plans) with moose, but from what we’ve heard there are times where they’ll still inspect your van very closely and other times they won’t bother if you have a dog. This is referencing Mexico by the way, I don’t believe Canada would be as serious of a process. Thanks for watching!
It takes a little adjustment from everyone involved and a lot more planning but we wouldn’t trade it for anything! Moose LOVES his time in the van and I’m sure your furry friend would too! Thanks for watching!
That sounds amazing! We’d love to be on your livestream, nothing we love more than talking dogs haha! If you wanted to email us some more specifics of it you can send it to tandemvanlife@gmail.com 😁 we look forward to hearing more about it, and thanks for watching!
Love this video, sometimes our 4 legged furry family members get over looked. They need their items too. Moose is one lucky dog ❤️ 🐾 Even has his own video 😉😁

Do you have a crate in the van?
At the time of this video we do not, but we’re renovating it right now to accommodate a crate for Moose! Thanks for watching!
Nice video I’m jealous of the set up haha
