Hi, If your wife wants to carve a cross onto a bigger piece of stone I would suggest using a hammer and chisel rather than a dremel as this is more suitable for caving straight lines. Best of luck!
You have made that look so easy . I have a dremmel and the diamond blade doesn't want to go thru the quartxz maybe I'll try a different stone less hard on moss scale. I also don't have it hooked up to an air compressor is that what your using ?
Hi Amy, the stone I used is welsh slate, brilliant for carving, very firm but not too hard. my tool is a Ferrex flex drive, (mini bench grinderua-cam.com/video/0dwNPlY5QTs/v-deo.html ) not air. This does have a bit more power than a dremel. I would not take too much notice of Mohs scale, it is really for minerals, not rocks or stone which are mixtures of minerals. I assume you mean the saw? I use an old wood saw converted to cut with water and a diamond blade. Hope this helps.

Any I can find, they all seem to work, the main thing is to apply then rub off thouroughly
