I didn't like it. She finds out she has the power to set shit on fire and doesn't set all those demons outside her house on fire? That's my big issue with series that focus on racism - there is never a satisfying retaliation.

@@jp_jdn that's why it should play out in movies. why introduce ghosts and time travel and supernatural powers, then decide at the end to reflect realism and not do anything with those powers?
The only modern movie I know of that ended "correctly" was Django. The last 20 minutes was worth the price of admission alone.

I can't stop watching. They really put a twist on this season. The acting is fantastic.
Cautiously optimistic for this. The first season of Them was one of the most perfect bingewatching streaming series i ever experienced. Even better than most American Horror Story seasons. Hoping they can continue with that level of quality.
Them S1 was so shocking and addictive. Apparently a lot people found it too upsetting to watch. I personally think it should be shown in schools, maybe then we could start to eradicate systemic racism while their minds are still malleable.
I have to say that season two is a totally different vibe, but it’s still very high-quality, and genuinely scary !

It was very traumatic and while it was very graphic, what more can you expect from a black family living in that time period? Not having a happy ending is something a lot of us endured at that time

Them is one of the scariest things I've seen on TV in a while. That "Cat in a Bag" scene from the first season never left me.

@@niknakyoung3145 I’ve never seen STAR but I’ve seen him as Johnny Gill & on one episode of Insecure. Even though he’s acted before, this shows range & unlike anything he’s previously done. That’s what I was referring to when I said “getting into the acting bag.” I didn’t recognize him at first so he’s taking this craft to the next tier with going into a method era.
So glad they decided to bring this show back. That first season was so compelling and thought provoking. Really want to see how they approach this new season. I thought it would be a continuation of the prior season but whole new storyline. So glad to see a lot of people watched this series.
They are doing it as an anthology series. I really enjoy the absolute quality and writing of season 1 but couldn't finish because of how brutal it was. This looks equally fantastic but hopefully a tiny bit easier of a watch

After having watched the first three episodes I find this series horrifying. It makes me feel terrible and sad and scared while at the same time hopeful that somehow things will work out for the family, though I have a desperate dread that it won't. Some reviews say the producers took racism too far. Unfortunately, I think, in actuality, it was much much worse.

@77Creation to be honest AHS is inconsistent and poorly written. It's a few seasons in there they are well done. But AHS just hasn't been good its simply overrated. That's why I said I don't know if comparing the 2 is a good thing.

I never watched the first season because I knew what it was about and decided against it but this season is very good. The storyline is deep with just the right amount of horror and I really hope they do a season 3.
