literally its not just aesthetic s on the cartridges, granted the details are small but the 6N coils on the O are different and because the shell is not the same; between the models the shell and the coils they both will produce sonic differences...its not that nothing will produce sonic differences and its purely aesthetic. ....I should be making videos with the intel Ive got, when the news is incorrect...chuckle later
Can you supply a link that talks about the O upgrade and the diffs between it and the R and why/how that results in a sonic upgrade in terms of the O vs R? As opposed to mere changes. I must admit, I missed that info. UPDATE: Ahhh, you looked at the user question underneath the news on the Denon website didn't you? You could have sign-posted that but never mind... Well, this is a news item, its not a review so I'll keep this one 'as is'. A review is the place to see if that sonics are actually improved or not. The main product page, I would say, is a little shy on that front. Doesn't exactly make a song and dance out of any direct improvements.
Hello Mr audiophile man I saw u did another review of the monitor audio gold 200 and u said it was really good how would u compare that to dali rubicons or opticons or b&w 700 series and I'm just throwing in the klipsch rp8000f ii would u still choose the monitor audio thanks 👍
Painting speakers with thick clear coat can dampen the sound too much. Some argue unpainted speakers sound more lively. same reason guitars and other plucked instruments sound better with minimal varnish or lacquer finish.

Except that stringed instruments are supposed to resonate, loud speakers are not.
