What a special treat, getting to see such a gifted performer doing the monologue that got him into drama school -- no set, no sound, no makeup, no director -- just an extremely talented artist and the shared reality existing only in our imaginations. I wish I could just watch this all day.
Hi Alan. I've always loved your work. I just randomly googled this monologue out of fondness for the memory of reciting it to get into drama school in '91 and this clip came up! The school in question is: WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts) Perth, Australia. I shared my year with many a talented actor, least of all was Mr Jack Human, who I hope you have had the good fortune to meet.
All the worlds a stage indeed. Even your kitchen. A delightful performance. Makes me curious about the whole play/book/whatever the original source material is. Thanks for keeping the creative fires stoked.
So great, Alan! I didn't see it in the 90's, obviously, but loved this version of it. And I also loved the pre and post commentary. Thanks for sharing, hope you're staying well.

I’d pay so much money to get to see him on stage.
Alan Tudyk is a national treasure.
I always say the same thing, Alan is decidedly, a national treasure 🥰
