I love using the app! If it's your first time, the map is great! We used it for our tickets every day and we used it to look at menus for restaurants multiple times a day (I'm a picky eater).

We had a blast at Universal for opening day of Velocicoaster....it was fantastic. Best roller-coaster I've been on hands down. I'm originally from Texas and the Texas Titan at Six Flags over Texas has been #1 in my book for a long while, but Velocicoaster has it! Thank you both for such great advice. Keep up the good advice!
It was such a fun day! We’ve never been to six flags Texas, but the Velocicoaster is awesome! It’s gonna be hard to beat!
I def liked being able to favorite rides to help plan out the day(s) so we knew what rides we have done and what ones we still need to hit.
Also being able to order ahead at some city walk places like voodoo donuts is great. I ordered food when we were headed out and they were ready right before we went to the water taxis.
Yeah some of the features can really make the trip much more enjoyable!
Also, we love VooDoo and we do the same very often!

Thanks so much this is very insightful for universal great Britain if it gets the green light my favourite bits of the app were how easy it was to get virtual line passes for certain rides, save your favourite rides, looking at different wait times, viewing the map and time alerts seemed useful to determine how much wait time has been reduced by

We’re so glad our videos have been helpful! Unfortunately, we’re not locals and we don’t have a trip planned for July, but if you ever see us there, make sure you say hi! As for the dining plan, they currently don’t have a way to integrate it with the app and mobile ordering. But we’ve heard they’re limiting mobile ordering in the parks right now, anyway. I think with the crowd levels it’s been overwhelming the restaurants and causing huge wait times.

This is a great question! My annual pass is attached to the app, and it still asks me to scan my pass each time to get the discount, so it seems like you do have to keep putting it in. But it’s also entirely possible that there’s just some setting you have to turn on to get it to remember your discount!
Hi! I really use the app in our last visit, we use it for wait times also wait time alerts. We enter in a virtual line from City Walk. The tickets, uoap, was in the app so dont need the card, for lockers they give us an special paper ricket. Don't use it for mobile orders this visit, but maybe the next. Thanks for the info.

We haven’t done a video on it, but I linked the one we have in the description of our backpack video. The one we use the most, though, is a realllllyyyy old one I stole from my dad 😂 it’s hideous, but it’s really big and has lots of pockets. The tiny ones they sell these days won’t hold a full bottle of sunscreen!
A great item on the app a lot of people don't know about is the ride time alert!! You can set a certain wait time on different rides and it will notify you when your ride gets down to that wait time!! Spend less time in lines!!

You pay on the app! We just didn’t show that part because we didn’t want any of our info to be visible lol but yes, you can attach a credit card to the app so all you have to do is pick it up!
I was wondering the same. So, for instance, if you cancel your order do you get an immediate credit back to your cc you used in the wallet?
@@jenniferallred9367 i don’t think the app actually charges you until you select that “prepare my order” button. Prior to hitting that, there’s an option to cancel your mobile order.
If you have a dinning plan can you use the mobile order? You 2 are preparing us for our 1st trip in Oct.
We don’t think you can use the dining plan when mobile ordering. We’re not 100% sure on that, but we don’t think there’s any way to connect it to the app yet.

Thank you for posting this me and my mom are going to universal studios Florida on the 1st-5th and this video answered a lot of questions. I have questions for you two if you don't mind? One hagrids is on the top of the list of rides we want to go on (we are staying on-site just so we can ride it early) can you get on hagrids early?
You’ll have to look on the app and see which park is doing Early Park Admission for those dates. With the opening of the Velocicoaster, early park has been at Studios lately. The line for Hagrid’s should be shorter first thing in the morning, though, so we would suggest heading straight there!

Express passes will definitely save you some time if you purchase them! They can get expensive, though, so we recommend looking at the premier hotels that come with the unlimited express pass for everyone in the room.
The video is super helpful. I just downloaded the app today but there is no icon on the homepage for either the virtual line reservation or mobile food ordering. Has the app changed since you created this video?
I'm having the same problem with my app.
I think you now have to go to mobile ordering in the app menu, then select an eligible restaurant! The app has definitely been updated some since we made this!

Hello! If you have the unlimited express pass, do you still need to use the virtual online pass to sign in to a ride?
Other than Volcano Bay that uses the return time system, there aren’t currently any rides at Universal that use a virtual line anymore!

Have they brought back the names for E.T?
The last time we visited in December they had JUST brought them back! We’re not 100% sure if they’re still doing it right now, but we were so excited!
Every quick service restaurant has a line to get in and you have to mobile order. Things are starting to go back to post pandemic operations though. I'm a local but I haven't been in a few weeks. I'm blacked out of July so I probably won't be going back until August unless I decide to upgrade my pass. I heard they very recently made changes to mobile ordering so I'll have to see when I go back.
We’ve heard this as well! I think with so many people being at the parks, the mobile ordering was too much for the kitchens to keep up with. People also weren’t using it the way it was intended, especially at locations like Voodoo! It’ll be interesting to see if they try to implement it in a different way going forward.
@@ThePughTwo it took an hour or more to get your food at every quick service restaurant. Especially if you went at peak hours. Universal is frantically trying to hire new team members for the restaurant.
@@shavaughn1980 it was rough when we visited, too! We managed to eat snacks or find shorter lines at places like the pizza zone. They definitely need more people!
Can I use the mobile ticket in the park entrance?
You can! We just don’t suggest relying on it 100% because if your phone dies, you don’t have a ticket.

Hey there! So you cannot make reservations using the app, however there are a few that allow you to make reservations online! You can make all reservations 6 months in advance!
Can tickets be added to the Apple Watch?
I don’t think the app works on your watch, but I’m not 100% sure!
Question: if i have my credit card on the app, can i buy gifts from stores or is it just from restaurants? Because i dont want to bring cash and the only other thing i had was apple pay, so i thought the app migjt be better, i was wondering if i could buy shirts at the shop or some type of souvenir through my credit card on the app
Oh that's a great question, and we're not 100% sure. I think once you put your card on the app you can use tap to pay everywhere through the app, but we would suggest having a backup form of payment just in case. Sometimes their system goes down and you'd hate to not have a way to buy anything.
Can you only get the Virtual Line portion of the App to work once you're on Universal property? When I down load the App here in Massachusetts it doesn't show the tab Virtual Line?
Yes you have to be on property for certain features to pop up!
I don't see the virtual queue option on my app. I'm not in Florida yet, could that be why? Or maybe it just mean there are no rides on virtual queue today? Also, are you supposed to be able to see your tickets purchased online through the universal website? I don't see them, but read somewhere else it doesn't work that way ... Which would be fine,but just confusing because you can see past tickets....I think
Yes, it’s just because you’re not actively in the parks. If you filter through rides and go to Jimmy Fallon’s you can see that the virtual queue for it is open (it always is) but it gives you an error if you try to click on it. As for the tickets, there is a way to connect your tickets to your phone but we’ve never personally messed with it. There is a chat with Universal feature in the app, so that might be a good way to get it all figured out. Hope this helps!

We believe it’s about $100. You can find the prices on their website!
Is there a way to connect my upcoming trip to the app?
Yes! You can add your tickets to the app by going to the wallet feature in the side menu. Towards the bottom, there’s a button that says “scan” where you can scan tickets to add them in. This is also where you can add a payment method to make in park purchases. We hope this helps!

If you’re staying on property do you pick a virtual time window and then go through the express line? Of there isn’t an express line when there’s a virtual line? I’m staying on propert in august and wasn’t sure.
Typically if I ride is offering virtual queues on the app, the standby line is closed and you can only ride it via express or with a virtual line pass. You will then go down the standby line after they scan your virtual line.

Virtual lines aren’t always being used, but there should be a spot for it on your app
What’s the difference between this and fast pass?
The express pass has its own line and must be purchased. The virtual line is more of an away from ride queue.
You can use mobile app for your free ride lockers, ONLY if you are keeping your phone on you

Hi! I have a question, hope you help me.
I bought the tickets on the page. They sent me a qr code but the app cannot read the QR code to synchronize my tickets with the app, it asks me for a barcode and the numer is invalid :(
If you bought the tickets online, you'll have to pick up the physical tickets in person and scan the barcode into the app. I believe that's the only way to sync them with the app unless you buy them through the app directly!

You get a return time and there will still sometimes be a line when you get there!

So the return time you get isnt unique to you and there will be many people who get the exact same return time! So yes there will be a line once you get into the attraction, however it shouldn't be that long!

What feature are you talking about? It’s called “Universal Orlando Resort” in the App Store!

@@giftsup there’s a drop down menu on the left of the screen that should have more options. Universal actually did away with mobile ordering about a week after this video came out, but you can still look at hours and menus on the app. We hope this helps!

Oh no! That’s just to let you know the ride has a child swap option. You just tell the team members when you get in line and they’ll tell you what to do!

Yes! Everything is still relevant except the mobile ordering which has been discontinued

Nope! You can purchase things on the app, but the app itself is entirely free!
