Former federal minister of Information and South South leader Chief Edwin Clark has asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to as a matter of urgency halt the threatening crisis in Rivers State.
In a letter to President Tinubu he reiterated that he should caution the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, Nyesom Wike and call him to order in the overall interest of Nigerians to allow the elected governor Simi Fubara to govern the state peacefully. He reminded Tinubu that the situation in Rivers State is like a banana peel and if nothing is done early could engulf everywhere. Why is Mr Clark interfering in the matter? He is not from the state, so what dog does he have in the fight? Why not let the opposing sides sort out their issues without outside interference?

Tinibu has already lost Rivers State for 2027. And he knows it !!! He missed a beautiful opportunity to impress the people of Rivers State. But he squandered it when he signed that 8-point Peace Accord which looked like it was written by Wike !!! That move confirmed to the people that he was supporting Wike 100% !!! And didn't care about them. Tinibu and Wike have lost the battle to Fubara !!! They should forget about Rivers State and should take their fight elsewhere !!!
